They're just my OEM take offs in case I need to limp home or to a parts store.

Remains to be seen I bought the tires and wheels the rest came along
    this is so very true!1

I used to drag so much along now it is a few basics .

A Credit card and Some sort of road service as I seldom venture to far afield .

one time trying to just wire up a broken exhaust system on the shoulder of an Interstate even with the triangles placed and hazard lights on with 75mph traffic flying past cured me of roadside repairs

I wonder how this or the harbor freight apache 4800 fit on the Meso Hex Molle rack?
I have a feeling they would be too big and would obstruct the back window.
Would anyone be able to share the diameter of these rolls when closed?

I picked up one of those Harbor Freight 130 piece toolkits ( ) and fashioned an aluminum bracket to fasten it to the driver's side bedrail just above the wheel well. Fits great, has most of the tools I'd need on the road and at only $40, it's no big deal if they get damaged/lost/stolen.

This is a pretty great idea for an emergency tool kit. Slim and out of the way with a good assortment. The price is right too.

That is kick ass! Awesome way to utilize that empty space.
I may have to steal this idea! Thanks for sharing, my guy!

I'm in between the Step 22 and Atlas46. Leaning towards the Pangolin. How do you like yours and what were you using before?

I grabbed 3 of these tool rolls from Amazon months ago and am using one for home, one for work, and one in the Tacoma. I can’t speak for their longevity or durability, but the pouches let me keep tools separated by category or by task and capacity is very respectable. It rolls up and stows easily in my rear driver side underseat storage bin with plenty of room for more items. I keep a bluetooth speaker, 2 way radios, packable waterproof windbreaker, multimeter, etc in the same cubby. Best organization and stowing ability out there for the money that I’ve seen by a longshot.

Ha, same. Have several from my time as a missileer @ Minot AFB. Only complaint about GI toolbags is that everything is just floating around inside unorganized unless you use other means to separate everything. I prefer my separating means baked-in now, so Amazon tool rolls are my go-to.

I’m a big fan of Altlas46 gear. Pricey but well made in the US. I can tell you my last order for their electrician bag took over 4 months to arrive. They are way behind on orders. If you’re not in a hurry, well worth it imo. I spent more money there over the years, than I care to admit.

I just got a little Sears canvas bag. I think it was twenty bucks. It's made well too. I'll look for the part number.

I used a cheap Amazon tool roll that didn’t last long, I like the pangolin because the small bags can be separated from the roll.
