I hated having my spare in the rear of the bed. It’s nice for weight distribution but a pain when loading/unloading anything into the bed. A swingout wouldn’t be bad if you went that route though. I personally think option 1 would be a decent setup.

Yeah option 3 in the rear would be on a swingout. Option 1 in the front would be on a hinge to either lift up or lift vertical to access storage in front of it. Though @tubbsisland mentioned a hatch to put it under the bed and it made me think of your storage area. Curious to see if he can find pictures because I'm liking that idea the more I think about it

So decided it would be a swell idea to put together a little jump contest for tacos. Some of the guys scouted out a jump at the bottom of Chocolate Thunder. Around dusk we loaded up the grill and rolled out and set up shop. cooked 15 lbs of meat probably something like 150 tacos haha... Good times.

    Said meat.

Ended up being pretty epic lol I was cooking the whole time so i didnt get any photos of jumps. This is the only video posted up so far. Some of the guys sent it

Carry on discussing what type of wheel spacers Bob's son is running.

A hatch to put it under the bed would be sick. Depending on what size tire you are running you’ll definitely have to loose the rear portion of the frame rails and fab a wider base. It would definitely be nice to not have it in the bed.

Yeah I'll definitely have to crawl under and do some measuring. I'm at 35's now but planning on getting a dd soon so 37's are likely my next tire size and I'm definitely going to make sure whatever I do, will have room for a larger tire.

Not everyone has a steady hand. Like painting a wall. If you cant cut in a straight line then its not for you. Definitely an art to welding, takes lots of practice, learning, and a steady hand. Im slowly learning. Getting better. But not that good yet.

You're dmz right? Only need 2-2.5 for leafs. I shortened my 4" down to around 2" recently and it's way better

Exactly. Gotta pick your battles. I can weld and I trust them to hold but I also know I have friends who are 1000000x better than me at it. I picked my trade, they picked theirs and as such I have no issues paying them to burn shit on instead of doing it myself. Just because you can do something, doesn't always mean you should.

It was her Dads Camaro that set in the back yard rusting away for 30 yrs. blown motor, rusted floor pans needs new front clip, basically a pile of shit. She has high hopes of me one day restoring it for her. I think in the next yr or so I may start really go at it.
