Anyone got the electronic lock version of the Lock'er Down? Looks really nice, but I can't tell from their site, or Combi-Cam's site if the lock is made out of plastic. Seems like if someone broken in, and was pissed, they could destroy the lock. May not get in, but the locks are like $100 if you had to buy another one.

The standard lock is super quick and easy to use,I would not go electronic. Just like my gun safe at home I value reliability and ease of access first. The safe isn't full proof if they steal the truck but will certainly be more than a smash and grab thief could deal with in the moment.

I ended up getting the electronic lock version, after discussing it with Bobby. Very nice guy to deal with. I'm extremely happy with it, and while it does cut down on some of the room, I think the design uses the space wisely. The lock installed on mine had the keypad upside down, but he is sending me a new lock to put on it that changes the keypad to landscape view, which will be a lot better. The only issue is being able to see down inside of the box, now that everything is dark black. I ordered one of these to put inside and try it out.

Sure, I should have the new lock tomorrow, I'll take some once I get it installed.

Got the new horizontal lock today, much easier to use from a user standpoint. Also have had my motion activated light inside, and am really liking it. Took me a couple tries to find the best spot for it, and that location seems to work best, from a responsiveness standpoint. If I had it facing the driver (mounted on the passenger side of the safe), it would sometimes turn on while the door was closed.

Sharp. I like the firearm, it is on my long collection list. I always advise to remove the branding sticker on the top, I did. Just so if anyone ever broke into your truck, they wouldn't know what to google with their smart phone if they had a few minutes. Was the point of the electronic lock faster access? I find the rotary lock quick and simple to use.

Thanks, I like the 1911 too, fortunately or unfortunately, the Para has been flawless, not so with my Kimber... Plan on carrying something even smaller though, either a KLCP or a Kahr P380, just because I can put either in an ankle holster better with slacks and dress shirt, but that's a different topic.

Good idea on the badge, actually had it off, because it was upside down too, lol, didn't think to leave it off for that reason, but sounds good to me. May just move it to the inside.

Electronic lock was mainly a personal choice, but it is amazingly fast, takes about 3-5 seconds to open. I also have prying eyes in the backseat, and figured it would be easier to conceal the combination from them when opening it. My son has been asking me already what the code is, LOL.

Oh I've got a 1911 but it is a full size. I carry a Walther Pk380 for my CC. Figure the less info on the safe the better.

Didn't think about the prying eyes angle. Have several more years before having to worry about that but it is a good point.

I just installed my vault yesterday. Its a really simple install. You have to remove the two silver 10mm set screws under the carpet of the console and remove the lid for the center console. All can be done with a phillips head and a 10mm socket/wrench. I put my sd9 in there with a holster and it fits fine. Now I can leave it in the truck and have peace of mind.

    Hey guys.
I've got a 2017 off road access cab.
I'm looking to put a lockerdown console safe in to secure my S&W m+p 2.0 (full size).
The lockerdown rep told me it would not fit laying on its side, but should fit vertically using one of their gun magnets mounted to the sidewall of the safe.

Can anyone confirm this, or give me a vertical measurement of the safe's interior? Thanks in advance.
