Came out under 249.00 ... In case your wondering it will only fit a sub compact laying flat on its side.

I have the ConsoleVault (from what I've seen, the two are practically identical) and yeah, I can only fit my S&W Shield on its side. My 1911 govt barely fits if I angle it on its head just right...

yeh i think they are.... i havent seen the console vault that your talking about in person but the quality on this one is pretty legit, im probably going to cut some foam for a subcompact to lay nicely on the bottom. More pics to come later after the foam cut

Not true. It will fit a full size short barrel (3.8") 9mm XDM laying flat on its side.

The safe does reduce console room as all the sides are squared (as you would expect in a safe) but the console has rounded contoured sides.

Here's the console vault. XDS 9 fits fine. Haven't tried .45 1911 though, also went with a hitch safe for storing my keys while out in the woods on public land.20140830_185831.jpg 20140830_185859.jpg 20140830_184933.jpg 20140830_184950.jpg 20140830_185941.jpg

I went with the 3 combo, figuring this is a deterrent to smash and grabs, if someone steals the truck and has tools, 3 combo vs 4 won't matter. Also, I would recommend removing the branding sticker. No need for a thief to google your safe while they are trying to rob you.

I just picked the corner and slowly pealed it off. It is a high quality heavy duty sticker and did not peal apart. Once off I just hit it with a little goo off to clean up any residue and there was no sign it was ever there.

Though I just realized I have the ConsoleVault and you have an identical one of another brand. Cant say the stickers are identical.
