I somehow dropped my keys on the front seat, locked and shut my door when I got out of my truck today. After getting a couple co-workers and spending an hour trying to get the front doors open, we decided to try and pop the lock on the rear slider. Damn thing was way too easy to open. Two minutes and a piece of welding wire and the slider was open. We were able to depress the unlock switches on both front doors but the locks didn't open and a couple times we were able to move the inside door handle a bit but the locks didn't open. The switches were definitely pressed all the way but nothing happened. So as an FYI, sliding a wire in through the top of the molding on the rear slider and bending the wire so it can move the slider lock is a ridiculously easy way to open the truck.

Ummm, if someone wants into your vehicle they're getting in. It won't be slick like a wire hanger, it'll just be a brick or hammer thru the window like this guy. If you want something more secure, get a console vault and an alarm system.

There is a DIY mod around here somewhere to make the window more secure. Of course you may have been kicking yourself for doing it as you might have not gotten you keys the easy way......

switches lock out to keep a partial window opening from allowing unlock button allowing entry.

I've used a thin aluminum rod in the window track to keep the rear window from sliding open. It IS WAY too easy to open.

This is why you get a spare key cut for your truck and hide it somewhere underneath

If you lock the car with the remote then the power door lock buttons inside get deactivated. It's good so someone can't come around and use a stick to press the button to unlock the door.
