I had the roof rails factory installed on my new Leer camper shell, but boy are the load bars from Yakima/Thule expensive (and honestly I can't even figure out what parts to get.)

Does anyone use a different option than the two brands above? Looking to occasionally put a cargo bullet on top for extra storage (which I already have).

For those that have them, what do you use for your load bars on top of your shell?

Updating this for future reference if anyone should search for this topic.
I ended up finding this kit at eTrailer https://www.etrailer.com/Roof-Rack/Inno/INXP.html since I already had the crossbars from another vehicle. Had to purchase the Thule nuts for attaching it to the rails. $180 for the feet.

Rhino Rack also sells a complete kit - either with "aero" style or heavy-duty bars. Rhino Rack aero bars Rhino Rack heavy duty

Sherpa makes load bars that are hard mounted to the track but needs yakima hardware Sherpa Load bars

Front runner also makes a set of load bars that includes hardware Front Runner

Just gotta say that is a beautiful looking shell, am in the market for one exactly like that. If you do not mind me asking, how much did the shell run you? Considering you got the windoors and windows on the Leer 180.

Thanks. I am SO glad I got the mid-height. I've camped in it a few times and being able to fully sit up is essential. I paid right around 4k installed. Expensive, but ended up being the best price in town and I was very happy with the service I got from the vendor (South Bay Truck Tops). Came with carpet headliner, windoors, removable slider front window and pre-installed roof rails. I did search for a used one, but my specs were very specific and I didn't want to wait around for that unicorn.

Should also add that if you have a long-bed, in my opinion the windoors are a MUST. Not having to crawl inside the truck to grab stuff is so worth it.

That is why I am wanting the mid-height camper, to camp in during the weekends or sleep at rest stops if needed. That is what my dealer quoted me (4k) but it is difficult for me to pull the trigger on that. I found one used a state or two away but haven't heard back yet. I will patiently wait for a used one to come up while slowly saving to pull that trigger for a new one. Understandable not wanting to wait around, looks great man. Especially the cement color.

also one of the reasons I went with the Inno feet is because I figured I would take them off when I wasn't using them. Guess what. They've never come off lol.

First of all, thanks for the info. The salesperson I am dealing with at etrailer is saying that it 100% won't work. I already have the Inno cross bars from an earlier iteration of this build. I have a ton of square bar compatible stuff as well as a Yakima Skybox 18. Would much rather shell out $200ish than $450.

I re-used the "Sports Rack" crossbars I already had, which are an off-brand made by Thule. No issues at all.IMG_1677.jpg

That is exactly what I am looking for. Thanks again. Any additional hardware?

nope just the nuts. the mounting pedestals come in two parts the base - which is attached to the thule nut, and then the top part that holds the cross bar. the top part comes off and the base has a cap, so if you aren't using the bars it's pretty streamlined. It's a good setup I think. Kinda utilitarian looking, but it is a truck after all...

100% got it to work with the Thule nuts. Saved hundreds of dollars in the process. As a bonus I never got the parts from eTrailer. They never shipped and I got a refund. Local shop by the house hooked me up for free with spares. Logged over 2k miles in the last 15 days-with the addded storage I was able to put people in the back seat.

That's awesome! Good score on the hardware!
