line-x rocker panels

Bought my truck with the bottom rhino-lined. Love the look. Wish it was linex, but it does ok. Starting to peel a bit on the bottom, I don't think they prepped it quite enough.

Neighbor had his 2010 Jeep Wrangler body sprayed in Line-X. It's white and looks really good. He hasn't washed the thing in months and you can barely tell really. He also showed me a few spots that were hit pretty hard with branches and I couldn't see any damage.

If I had the money I would also spray the lower half of the truck with a black line-x. GL!

 

I think it would look good. I saw it on a silver 2nd gen and I really liked it. You might want to do your fender flares too or get some non painted ones. I herculined my rocker panels and I really like it but I have a 1st gen.

 

That's the look im going for maybe a little higher though

 

I thought about it but ended up just getting the nerf bars done. Its extremely expensive to get just the bottom part of the truck sprayed due to the way line-x is applied. I think any more would be too much

 

True it is expensive

 

PLASTI DIP FTW. this stuff is by far the greatest invention ever. i currently have plans to plasti dip my entire truck excluding the windows. i have a 30 gallon tank of it with a pump to help apply it. i carry it around with me at all times.

they call me plasti...plasti....umm keith help me come up with a name for myself real quick

 

I've seen it on a couple Tacoma's and its personally not my taste. Hey but to each their own!

Ya I find it gives the look a bit of a mid 90's silverado, but for some reason I like it haha.



If my rocker panels get scratched to shit maybe I'll do it. Until then, no. I do like it though.

Looks good but I want an even line from the bumper top to the rock panel ... im anal about it being even but that does look nice And I bet he has no worries when trailing

 

Yeah he went up that high b/c he had some damage he was covering up iirc. I did mine b/c my rocker panels were chipping real bad and I was getting a little bit of rust too.

 

Right it don't look bad its just too high for me

It looks good. I'm going to wait and see if my new tires throw stones and chip my rocker panels. I like that idea though.
