So in the first picture, you can see where I ran the wire from the light, along the inside of the rack. I used these sticky rubber clips from Home Depot, (I’ll see if I can find the exact product) to mount to the rack and run the wire through. Then I ran it to the front of the rack, to the middle of one of the extrusions, and then down through the shell using a boat deck seal. That’s as far as my wiring has gotten so far, but the plan is to run the wiring out the front of the shell, up the rubber seal on the roof, along side the cab rack, and then have 1 wire run down the windshield for power and ground somewhere on the roof. Once I get the other two lights I’ll knock it out and post some more pictures. Hope this helps in the mean time.

Knocked it out today! Not bad at all. I thought it would be worse. Here’s what I ended up doing but I spoke with @texas angler and apparently Baja makes a plug & play kit if any one is interested.

I just used KC wire hiders in the tracks on top of the cab. Ran the ground wire down the driver side windshield and then ran the power wire behind the front panel of the prinsu with the pictured zip tie holders. They’re invisible. Then ran power wire down the passenger side of the windshield. These are gonna be killer camping at Buffalo River this weekend!

^^ forgot to mention 14 gauge wire is what is pictured and fits perfectly down the windshield. In fact the picture is before I pressed them I just so y’all could see it and it didn’t just look like a pic of the windshield trim. Once I muscled it down in that crack with a plastic trim tool it’s not going anywhere and is definitely invisible. 12 gauge would probably be too big and 16 would probably pop in and out

The brackets are just the ridgeline handles on my roof rack. The Baja’s fit in them perfect. If you’re talking about the harness Baja makes you might ask @texas angler. He used them but I didn’t.

Do you have a side profile shot? How far do those handles stick off the side? Also I’m assuming the wire just runs directly from the handle to the rack?

I can snap one tomorrow but I think prinsu probably has pics of the ridgeline handles on their site. Probably even have dimensions. The ONLY spot my wires are visible is the tiny 1/8 inch from the light to the tracks. There’s really no way to hide it right there but it’s really nothing and I bet I’m the only one that notices bc I know it’s there. From the tracks I was able to hide them all the way to the engine bay and cab switch. KC Wire Hiders are the sh*t!

Hi CHerokeeCajun! Thank you for all of your information. I have extremely limited knowledge with wiring and electricity. Will you please let me know how you "plugged and played" the lights on your Prinsu? I feel confident in attaching the lights, hiding the wires and the like, but once we are in an engine bay with loose wires, this is were I get nervous. What type of wiring is done in the engine bay? Thank you so much!

Sorry I just saw this. Are you wanting to run these to a cab switch? It's actually not that hard.

From the lights on the rack you'll have a power and ground. So once you've run the wires into the engine bay you'll want to ground the black wire.

The red wire (power) depends on your switch. I use CH4x4 with all my switches/lights. You'll run the red wire to your switch, then the power wire from your switch to the battery (or fuse panel like I did, if you have one). You'll also need to ground a wire coming from the switch. Keep in mind the size of the lights you're using. If they're big enough you'll want to add a relay between the lights and the switch.

    Speaking of this topic

what does everyone think about when ordering their Prinsu, is it better to order without light bar cutout(flat front panel) or with cutout even if you don’t have a light bar, just so the hole is already there for if you end up getting a lightbar later on down the road?

wont it cause hood glare though?
Someone made shields for standalone light bars but idk if such a design would fit into a Prinsu, or if Prinsu light bars even have glare due to still having some flat panel underneath them.

if going no cutout, I’m curious to know how hard it is to switch later on. If people simply order the piece separate from them or take a saw type tool to cut their own

When I ordered my rack I had no plans on putting a light bar on it, so i ordered it without the cut out. a year or so later i got bored and ordered a light bar for the rack. I got the jigsaw out and cut out the space I needed for the light bar. It was very simple and looks great. There is a lot of hood glare on mine, but I have not taken the time to adjust it.

Anyone have any lights mounted on the same side as a 270 awning? Looking to pu some s1's on my racks both on the truck and shell. 4 on each side and 2 in the rear so 6 total. Any experience?

I don’t remember. It’s been a while since I removed it. The red lights looked pink and stupid.

    What’s the point of this
only scenarios I can think of is change a tire or offroad at night

    why not do it cheaper
    -Etsy angled 3D printed mounts
-harbor freight harness run to battery and interior button
-HFT Roadshock LEDS $20/30 for 2, apply red LaminX
-maybe total of 4 on a cab rack
