been researching for a while, seems like the 17” variant can be had pretty light.

for 16” i’m not seeing much on the lighter side, like C rating.

    and advice?

Well, you didn’t specify, so the lightest would be a passenger tire.

Now that I got that out of my system, I bumped up to 17’s and dropped ~8lbs per tire AND gained an inch of diameter.

I put this list together mainly for myself, since I've also been considering 285/75/16's... but have been largely turned off by the weight, since (like many of us) I also do a lot of on-road driving. I didn't include anything in this list that weighs 60 lbs or more.

    Firestone Destination XT

    White Lettering

Mickey Thompson Deegan 38 All Terrain

    Mickey Thompson Baja ATZ P3

    General Grabber AT2
    56.7 lbs
    60k mi warranty
    D Load
    White Lettering

    Nitto Terra Grappler

I ended up going with the Yokohama Geolandar M/T G003. It's E rated, mud terrain, and comes in at only 60.2 lbs per tire.
