Which A/T tires are you running? Lighter the better and excluding E rated.

    I have these

Goodyear Wrangler UltraTerrain AT | Discount Tire

They are the most aggressive non-LT tire I have found. I'm pleased with them.

Don't overthink the weight issue. I've had my truck for almost 15 years and over 220,000 miles. I've had P rated tires that weighed 38 lbs and I've had E rated tires that weighed 53 lbs each. The E rated tires cost more, ride a little stiffer, and I could feel a minor loss of acceleration with them. But fuel mileage has never changed.

I have not gone any bigger than 265/75/16, and I've avoided aggressive mud tires. Those are the things that will kill fuel mileage.

I got a single cab 4 cylinder with manual. Options are…

Stick with wimpy but economical 245/75/16 highway tires.

Beefy 265/75/16 but SL rated keep that weight down but not the cool brands.

F it and go K02’s, Goodyear’s and Let the haters hate.

This would be my recommendation as well. I was looking for a good compromise of weight, aggressiveness, performance, looks and price. Ended up going with the Wildpeak and have been very happy. Despite them not being load E they have done FANTASTICALLY on the trails, including some fairly sharp, rocky trails. I've since moved up to some 33" pizza cutter MT's but may go back to an AT.

Here's a table I made when I was tire shopping. This info is a couple years old now so some of these weights may have changed, there may be new options out there...etc.

The Nokian Rotiiva A/Ts are 37lbs in 265/75/16. I have them in 265/70/17 and they have been good for me.

That's good. I think I've put around 10k on them and they are wearing even and haven't worn the 100% marker totally off yet because I can still see a little of the number. I did the chalk test right after they were put on to get a correct psi. I didnt see much of a MPG drop either. A tad louder than the worn out Bridgestone Dueler 684ii's but seem just as good if not better with ride and handling.
