Anywhere pieces meet, even the acrylic. I took the end caps off and took out the crappy seal and used the rtv. I put some on either side of the acrylic. Don't use too much, just a little bead. If it squishes out, just leave it, don't try clean it up on the glass. Learned that the hard way.

I was getting fog anytime I did a high pressure wash, no more after the rtv. Good thing is, they dry out if you take them apart.

OP if you haven't installed the light bar in the lower bumper you could get this mount.
    http://www.ebay.com/itm/Front-LED-L...ash=item46509000f2:g:05UAAOSwhOVXdE1K&vxp=mtr

This is what I used to mount my cheap Amazon 30" bar in the grill. Very simple install just cut lower grill, unbolt one side of crash bar run bolts through mount and back into crash bar. repeat on other side then attach light bar.

The mount appears to be identical to the rough country mounts but half the price. probably made though the same Chinese manufacture.

That's the mounts I bought to try glad to see that they will work just fine. Have you had any issues of them not staying solid and tight and bouncing the light around ?

I like that use of the scoop..how big is that led bar and where did the wires go through to hook it up?

Amazon, less than $60. Been on there almost a year, no issues, no fogging. Could not be happier. I can't understand how people spend ten times as much for a light.

If you get a dual row LED bar it wedges in between the bumpers pretty tight so there's no place for it to really bounce. The mounts are pretty solid, there's no way they would bounce vertically but they probably could horizontally with some force.

Also a tip if you plan on ordering a light bar off of ebay and want to better your chances at actually getting a decent light.

So I won an auction for $.01 with a $69.99 shipping fee. It was a 42" 400w 4D Philips LED light bar. Right after the auction closed, I sent my payment via paypal then wrote the seller this:

New message: Does this light bar really have Philips chips in it?

    New message to: wheelsmania2015
Does this light bar really have Philips LED chips like it says? I don't want to get the bar and have it contain ordinary 3030 LED chips. If it does not have Philips LED chips in it then cancel my order and issue a refund. I don't want to get this light bar then have to return it and leave a bad review just because it doesn't have the correct bulbs.

Also if possible, could you ship this bar tomorrow?

    Thanks,
    Cole

The next morning they cancelled my order and issued me a full refund. lol I may try this again with another seller in hopes of getting a decent light bar and not one made with plain 3030 led chips. or I'll just stop being so cheap for a second and buy an Auxbeam off of Amazon.

Let me look up the info can't remember specs right off hand. Came with a rely harness. Wires run through the firewall to a switch in the dash. Thing is super bright, but the hood support underneath had to be bent to get it in there. Here's a shot of the switch in the middle. Its a mictuning off Amazon. IMG_20160707_160759.jpg

This is an updated version, as mine is older. These lights are not cheap but well worth the money. Mine is about 13 1/2" x 2 1/4" x about 4" deep. If you go this route make sure the light bar tapers down from the top at the back of the housing. You get more clearance and give yourself less headaches. Good luck.IMG_20160707_163442.jpg IMG_20160707_163508.jpg

You can see how its mounted, the wiring and HID rely in these pics.
