I'm ready to buy a light bar but can't decide which light configuration to get. Anyone have any pro's or con's of each type. Pretty sure I don't want a spot. Either a flood or flood/spot combo. I have two Hella's mounted on my light bar right now and figured I would put it there.

Combo is usually a good all around choice, especially if you are just getting the light bar and dont plan on getting other lights. If you are planning on adding more lights, a full spot bar with some flood pods aimed off to the sides a bit will provide better dispersed lighting since you can aim them to get the best pattern possible. A radius bar also helps with this.

My question to you is where are you planning on mounting it?

Combo is what I run and it's the best to me. I also have two spot pods on the fenders though

I guess I don't know what it looks like on your rig without pictures. However, take a look at my signature and where mine is. If you mount yours there or any lower, get spot beam. Higher get combo. Even the spot beams put out a decent amount of flood...
