I’m trying to find a lift kit for my 2wd Tacoma, mainly for the look and bigger wheels (since it’s 2wd) however, I’m having trouble finding a lift that will work with 2wd. I read a forum earlier that said all Tacomas 2016+ are the same suspension no matter 2wd or 4, but I don’t know if that’s true. I checked out rough country 3.5’ lift but it said it was incompatible with my 2wd. I am also interested in the bilstien 5100 or the ome lifts. Does anyone know if those would work?

It will lift just fine. If you want to go over 4", you can get longer spindles. Don't have to worry about CV angles! Be sure to do the carrier bearing drop though.

Yes the Bilstein 5100 or ome lifts are fine for your truck.
I am 2wd, sitting on a 4 inch spindle lift with icons 2.5 up front and extended brake lines. The rear has an aal in a stock 4x4 leaf pack plus a 1 inch block, Bilstein 5100 rcd (extended length), also extended brake lines.
Drive shaft has carrier bearing drop.

The drop spindle gives you 4" and keeps stock geometry. You will need longer brake lines. Then you can throw whatever shocks you want and keep them at zero unless if you want to go higher than 4"

I went Lane Bryant style: +1 size all around. [+1 diameter, +1 lift on 6112's.]

I have seen a number of 2WDs that have done a 4" spindle lift. Its better than a drop-bracket, but still. Ew. I subscribe to the world of suspension lifts. Most people will say that suspensions can go no higher than 3", I personally would not go higher than 2" on suspension. I like having downtravel. Unlike most lifters I actually use downtravel. But if you want something a little more brodozer than a simple 2" lift, get the 4" spindle.
