It hit my fin antenna and lifted it just a bit. Please advice on how to I get it back to seated again before the rains come.. Please be specific - I haven't been very bright this week. This is my 2nd bone-head in 2 days.. usually I only get a few a year ..

Think mounting point of antenna bent on roof . Going have to pull head linner and look if roof is bent .Maybe you can look under base now to have an idea whats wrong. You could just put a nice bead of silicon around base for now till you can check it better. Doesn't look like an easy fix but hope I'm wrong.

Trade it in. I'm sorry, I had to.

Some stuff. Not a lot, just some.
You can see that the roof is definitely dented. You could try the old compressed air and hair dryer trick and it might just pop right out. You can also try letting it sit in direct sunlight for an hour two first. It might pop itself out that way too.

Roof is bent. Paintless dent removal may work, but that headliner will probably have to come out.

I did the EXACT same thing this morning. I’m thinking of using a thin silicone seal in the crack unless anyone has discovered better solutions.

As a few people already mentioned, the attachment point sheet metal is bent. You can either be an ape and pull on the shark fin in an opposing direction as the bend and hope that it straightens you out and doesn't distort the sheet metal further, or you can be a bit more technical about it and remove the shark fin to better address the sheet metal. This involved dropping the headliner to get to the retaining nut on the underside, BTW. It isn't particularly hard, but can be a bit tedious and involved:

    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/removing-your-headliner-and-insulating-sound-deadening.394469/

Expect actual metal work similar to PDR or even hammer/dolly work if the distortion is real bad.

Another (easier) option is the boiling water/heat method to remove dents (search youtube), but if you've already disturbed the seal, you might get water in the cab.

I would probably opt for being an ape and pulling on the fin in the opposite direction and see if it helps at all... probably not the smartest move though.

The solution was to simply apply some clear outdoor silicon seal around the antenna. It's been fine.. it's not noticeable and as of now I simply forgot about it.. but today I will check to ensure the seal is not peeling after the heated summer exposure now that the rains are coming in..

I was wondering what the purpose of that shark fin was, as I have one + the traditional antennae. Why do I have two?

I believe the shark fin is for XM radio on your model. I could be wrong but that’s what I’ve been reading on TW @Marc70
