What’s the best lift kit for a mostly highway commute with minimal off-roading? I work a lot, and most of my driving is on the highway, but I also plan on exploring off-road trails and camping whenever I get the chance. I’m seeking recommendations for a solid lift suspension that offers a smooth highway ride but can handle off-road trails. I’m interested in a 3-inch lift for my TRD Off-road and plan to pair it with 33-inch Falken Wildpeaks. I’ve heard that the Dobinsons IMS is a good setup that won’t break the bank.

Everyone likes the kits they have on their trucks. Depends on your budget too. Low 500-1K, mid 1-3k and then high, anything over 3K. Lots of threads on the different lift kits too.

If you don’t mind a stiffer and solid ride, the Ironman Foam Cell Pro can get you everything for 2-2400, I think.

More budget friendly would Bilstien 6110/5160. @memario1214 can help you out with those.

I've had my OR since 2019 and done some decent off-roading with it. The factory suspension has always been enough. Save the money, unless you're trying to look cool...which is cool

Stay stock height, invest in one size larger tires and a wheel with more offset. If your unhappy with the ride look into aftermarket set up. Lifts are over rated I'm dropping mine down in the near future

Another vote for the TRD kit. I had a stock 2018 OR and my 2022 is identical except for the TRD bits, (even moved the wheels and tires from the old one to the new) and I found it more comfortable and rode better both on and off-road.
Might be a bit of “I paid more, it must be better” self-delusion going on….but my wife didn’t pay for it, and she has commented that she likes the new one much better too.

If you daily and don't do much off-roading then don't lift it and put 33" tires on it unless you don't mind losing a lot of mpg. I have a 3" and 35's now and get 11.6mpg for reference. But another vote for the Ironman FCP and their leaf packs. I have over 40k on mine and they are amazing on and off road.

5100's with AAL is hard to beat for the price. 2" up front and 1.5" in the rear. Single leaf deaver or Icon AAL both work well on a budget

I have the TRD Lift Kit. It was the best option for me since it purchased it with my truck and rolled it into my financing. The added TRD Pro grill was an added plus for me. (I actually like the pro grills) The lift boasts the maximum effective use of stock components and achieves peak performance in the eyes of the TRD folks. The lift itself is a 2/1 lift and gives the truck more ground and wheel clearance while giving the truck a slightly more aggressive look.

I had Old Man Emu on my truck and loved them. That plus 255/85/16 tires. But I wouldn't recommend those tires for daily driving. They are heavy. You could do a lift with one size up from stock tires and get a nice stance and riding vehicle. You could even start with the tires and see where that lands you before going to a lift. Would save you a bit of money up front if you found the tires would do the job.

This is what I did on my Sport. I mostly DD it, but do take it to some moderate trails to go camping. I have a super stiff front suspension, as I bought the kit used, with less than 1k on them, from someone local who installed it, bought bigger tires, then got rubbing, so opted to go higher on his lift. My truck will eventually be pulling a Bean trailer, so I dont need anything apocalypse worthy lol. 32" tires, a mild lift, I added a TRD Pro skid plate, and some rock sliders. The only other mod I will do at some point is a front bumper, and leave it at that. I get about 17 MPG right now, and dont want to totally kill it lol.

2/1.5" on my SR. Lots of hate on this lift since it's a spacer/block level kit but it's under 3" and rides same as stock, gives me the exact look I wanted. Only costed $160 with the alignment. Can't beat it. Haven't noticed any change in ride quality. I also don't really off road much at all besides like dirt roads and logging roads.
