Hey guys, I just got a 2001 tacoma and found this group to be helpful is various things I was trying to figure out about the truck.

I got the Title transferred and am looking for a creative, fun license plate for the truck. I’m looking for something related to the truck but am not sure what to use. The ideas I have thought of have been already taken.

My truck is 2001, red, 4x4 tacoma with a 2.5” lift.

Part of the fun of having a personalized plate is thinking about ideas for 2 weeks, entering 75 tries into the DMV website and then getting lucky substituting a "5" for and "S"... Dont rob yourself of that experience

I thought about a custom plate once. Then I realized 1) most things I find funny aren't "appropriate" according to the DMV, 2) they're already taken, and 3) you have to pay that extra fee EVERY time you re-register.

    Pass

Kinda funny that I lucked out with the plate on my wife's car. 7DYS395. It's cool because we love camping/driving along Hwy 395, often for week-long trips, so it fits.

My 4Runner just has a bunch of X's and Z's.

Go for it if that is what you want.

Myself No thanks I send the Commonwealth enough money every year.

Besides this many years into the program all the good ones were gone years ago.

Like anything else it comes down to what State your dealing with.

Here in Pa I just go to my favorite Notary Give them money and say I need a new Custom plate in a few weeks to months it shows up.
