I'd check ebay for an actual lexus wheel first. They're going for well under $100, so Its probably worth taking a look. That or my local pick n pull place sells steering wheels for $12.99. You can do this swap super cheap without using a Chinese alibaba wheel or something haha

How much money did it run you for the wheel plus airbag? I've always wanted to swap my wheel to the 12-15 but its just too much $$$ to justify. I ended up buying this re-wrapped wheel from ebay.

The steering wheel was $75 from ebay and the airbag was $44 from my local pick n pull. Shout out to Chesterfield Auto Parts. I probably bought five different wheel/airbag combos to see what fit and they let me return everything that didn't fit or I didn't want.

I just sold my stock wheel to another TW user, but otherwise I'd offer you my old one haha

I think your wheel looks great. Is it the "piano black" wheel that I see on eBay? If so what did you think of the quality?

Yeah that's the wheel I bought. I've had it over a year now, it's held up nicely.

Did this back in 2015 wheel from a 12+ camry se. I then did a wheel cover. None of the buttons work mainly because my truck didn't have the controls to begin with, and I didn't feel the need to swap clock springs to make them work.

OP, is the 2006 Lexus RX330 steering wheel larger or smaller than your stock steering wheel?

Smaller by a good amount. I measured just under 15" wide on the Lexus wheel.

That lighter color RX wheel would look really great in truck that has the tan interior too. I swapped my 08 wheel to a 2013 and added the stereo controls. had to make harness to go from st column to stereo....RC lack of wired options thing.....just like adding blinker mirrors from 2012 sport.

Ok, now we got it perfect. New to me 2009 RX 350 wheel. Same airbag as before. The mismatching stain on my shift knob and the lighter woodgrain on the steering wheel was really starting to annoy after a couple months and purely by chance I happened to see a Lexus parked at Kroger with the exact wooden interior color I was looking for. A quick eBay search and another $100 towards this project and I think I can finally leave it alone haha

Imagine coming out of Kroger to see someone had broken into your RX to steal only the shift knob.

I actually made the shift knob myself. But I once had my taco broken into and the only thing stolen was some quarters I had sitting in the bottom of a cup holder. People are wild lmao

What is the advantage of doing this? Does it improve functionality or just because it looks cool?

What's up fellow Tim from VA?
I actually prefer the smaller diameter of the lexus wheel. I often would hit my legs on the bottom of the stock one. This rx wheel is at least an inch smaller in diameter and more comfortable and ergonomic for me.

UPDATE: THIS WHEEL HAS SOLD IN THE BST SUBFORUM.

I finally got my old RX's wheel listed in the Gen 2 parts marketplace. In case anyone is interested in a project, here it is:
    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads...lack-leather-steering-wheel-no-airbag.785286/

Here's the chip in the varnish that led me to replace the wheel with another used one. Note the 7:00 position.

What clock spring do you use for the 2006 rx330?
