Hey second gen owners! I noticed TW was missing a more comprehensive thread for retrofits. There are a few how-to's and write ups but there isn't a gallery for those interested in projectors to check out. So, I figured it would be a cool idea to try to put together a thread where anyone with projectors could dump some pics and maybe give someone looking at retrofitting their headlights some ideas to work with. So go crazy, post up some pics of your projector retrofits! If you could, tell us a little about them. What kind of projector are you using? Halos? Demon eyes? Switchbacks? Laser beams? Did you buy them or build them yourself? Would you have done anything differently?

Yeah, I did a retrofit. I had FX-R HID projector housings with clear lens. 4300K Philips bulbs. Gatling gun shrouds.

Depo headlights, Morimoto D2S 4.0 projectors w/ Morimoto HID's, Profile 80mm switchback halos set up as DTRL then to turn off when headlights go on. Built them myself, took me a while to get it all done. Then topped it off w/ Morimoto LED fog lights

Morimoto Minis with DDM ballasts and 4500k bulbs. I need to redo them sometime soon as I want to de-chrome and a spider managed to make it's way into one of them and built a web. :annoyed:

Very nice! You guys make it hard to choose between keeping the chrome reflector and blacking it out

Yeah the choice is very personal for sure. For me, I now LOVE the look of the blacked out rather than the stock chrome / reflective look. In going for that look, it was nice that the pieces attached to the back side of the lenses came already blacked out (option on the Depo headlights) and as can be seen in my pics the only things I had to actually paint were the reflector bowls and the projector shrouds.

Never had an issue with the lights or tires sticking out as much as they do. I've gotten some dirty looks from cops, but they won't pull me over.

I believe those are LEDs that came with the TSS trim package. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

Actually my truck came with the XSP-X package. Those LED's below the headlights are part of it.
