I've been trying to make my taco as unique on the inside as it is on the outside (work in progress!). One thing I've done is replaced the "cue ball" shift knob that came with the OR package (no offense to those who like it!) with a custom one from TWM Performance.

    ShiftKnob_zps8a288481_0e1a4d699776b69c189f33c6fcdd32b69e593a6d.jpg

It's basically a block of milled stainless steal, nice and heavy. Feels good with the short throw shifter I put in.

Has anyone else replaced theirs with either a vendor one or a homemade one? If so, let's see it!

Homemade cue ball shift knob. Cheap and feels better and shifts better than the small stock leather one.

Yeah, I wasn't a fan of the stock leather one that came with my first taco (an 06 I traded in). They gave me the leather one with my 14 along with the TRD cue ball.

That is pretty awesome 357sig... I've seen a wrangler around town that has a similar setup. I may try it someday :)

Nice looking setup. Does the handle take some getting used to?

15 bucks off Amazon. Fits my hand perfectly. Not that it matters much with an automatic, but I usually hold it while driving.

Nice spiderman shifter! I'm gonna have to show that to my buddy. I'm a huge Game of Thrones fan...wonder if there's a "Longclaw" shift handle somewhere....there's gotta be!

I put an FJ shifter in. Had to add a coupling nut and an M8 extension to get it to fit, and then did some more modification to get it to sit lower with the extension (because of complications with the interior of the shifter). Sits high but I really like it. May fill it with something of weight so it feels a little sturdier though.

Not really custom but it is a Toyota Japan shift knob.
Different than what the truck shipped with and different from any other Oem shift knob I could find at the time.
