    What's up peeps.

I recently joined the camper shell crew.

I'm looking to get inspired, there's a whole lot of space I can utilize and I'd like to see how you guys were creative with that space.

Please post up pics of the inside of your camper shell setup.

My wallet thanks you in advance.

Most recent pic of the inside of my shell. I don't usually haul around 10 bags of concrete though.

I've posted all of this before, spread across a few threads, so I'll consolidate it here.

I ran two separate always-on wires from the battery to the bed. I wired up some LEDs on two different switches. One set in the front and one set in the back. They are Ikea Dioder lights, which run on 12v DC, so I didn't need to do anything fancy with them. Unfortunately, it looks like Ikea doesn't sell them online anymore, but they seem to be available in their stores.

I also have a sleeping platform. I built two "boxes" with 2x4s, 2x10s, and plywood. I had to cut the 2x10s down a little so that the box height is flush with the top of the wheel wells.

The top of the platform is plywood wrapped in carpet. It is two separate sections, similar to the two boxes. I found plastic storage bins at Target that are the right size for the box opening and have wheels on them, so they slide in and out relatively easily.

This is an picture of my previous set-up. The platform was a little more rudimentary, but I think is the only picture I have when it's set-up for sleeping. The "mattress" is a 4" piece of memory foam with a fiber bed topper on top of it. I think it's pretty comfortable, but others may not. The bed dimensions once you are above the wheel wells are slightly larger than a full size mattress, so that works well with no need to cut anything.

Loaded up for a weekend trip. The memory foam and topper are rolled up toward the front, so we can put a bunch of stuff on the platform while driving.

Having the two boxes and two plywood tops make it pretty quick to put in and take out, so I generally only have the sleeping platform in the bed when we are going on a trip where we'll sleep back there.

For bedlighting I just bought 16ft led strip 5050 on ebay. Bought a inline fuse and switch. $20-30 total.

I wish I could post some more detailed photos of my bed, but I'm currently OCONUS for work.

    Here's my current setup.
    IMG_0663.jpg
-Snugtop Rebel (factory-installed double vented windoors, keyless entry, LED interior light, reinforced roof (for my RTT))
-I made a cargo net for the interior ceiling to make use of the wasted space at the top of the shell (perfect for coats, blankets, rope, climbing gear, etc...)
-LED light on the underside of the rear window, for tailgate illumination
-ARB drawers with side trim kit (additional storage compartments)
    -ARB 37L fridge
-WaterBricks (currently planning a custom 12 gallon upright water tank install for the front of the bed)

This set up has been perfect for the 3-4 day trips my wife and I make; the truck makes an excellent base camp for short excursions into the back country. We store all the camping and climbing gear in the bed and out of the cab. I generally keep the bed loaded with gear to make an impromptu trip easy; just add food and water, then go - I hate packing and unpacking after a trip. We put our 70lb pit mix's bed on the top of the left side of the drawers when traveling. The bed gives him plenty of room to lounge around and he enjoys being able to lay down and look out the windows.

I have a bed back there, literally. Mounted my jack underneath the bed because a traditional bed rail jack mount would have really gotten in the way of important business.

Works great but a new roll doesn't fit so I try to pull the shop towel roll from the garage when it has about 1/3 of the roll left.

I used a t-slot nut and some aluminum stock to fab up a mount for a ratcheting paper towel holder I got off of Amazon. The mount is angled in such a way that a full-sized paper towel roll (or shop towel roll) can be installed without much effort. The location makes it accessible from the rear or side of the vehicle (via the windoor).

One of my favorite campsite/tailgating mods is a hard mounted bottle opener with an integrated magnet to catch the bottle cap! Perfect at night when I've had one too many IPAs and do not want to search for a fallen bottle cap.
