This is my first review/big thread so bear with me...
    http://lemonsquad.com

Last month, I bought my first Tacoma. The truck I was looking at was in Madison Alabama (about 200 from where I live) and I really liked it and wanted to go check it out, but it wasn't going to be worth the trip out there unless I was certain I was going to buy it. I did a quick search of inspection services and came up with a few including Lemon Squad. I decided to go with them because of the price and the relatively quick speed they could do the inspection.

    How it works:

After creating an account on their website, you fill out a short inspection form about the vehicle you want inspected. You can give the inspector a specific things to check in the "Additional Notes About the Vehicle" section.

After filling out the form and paying, you'll be contacted by Lemon Squad saying that they've assigned an inspector. The inspector will contact the seller of the vehicle and work out arrangements for the inspection. If you've got a question, you can't directly contact the inspector, but you can instead talk to them through Lemon Squad. My inspection took place about five days after I ordered it (the inspector was ready for the next day, but the seller wasn't free).

    The Inspection:
After the inspection took place, the seller texted me and told me that the whole thing went great and that the inspector was very professional and thorough with his work and picture-taking. Later that night, I got an email from Lemon Squad saying that the inspection report was done and ready to be viewed. As you can see from the pictures, the inspector took his time looking for even the smallest scratches and dents (luckily there weren't many). If the weather permits, which it did, the inspector will also take the vehicle out for a test drive.

    Overall Experience
All in all, Lemon Squad is a great way to get a car or truck inspected whether it's half way across the country or right by your house. The inspector that I worked with was very professional and had the report uploaded the night of the inspection. I would recommend Lemon Squad to anyone that can't make the trip out to inspect a used vehicle on their own. Always, of course, do you're own inspection on the vehicle when you finally get to it, but it definitely helps to have a second opinion it it. If you have any questions, ask away.

Nice! I have always thought of using something like this, but have always been sceptical. But this seems spot on. Great review.

Do no use these scumbag scammers called Lemon Squad. They cancelled my inspection due to a technician having personal issues. Then they refuse to refund the amount. Only give a credit. They also make no guarantees as to when the inspection will take place. So they can take a month to inspect your car if they want to. Its all buried in their terms and conditions. I even tried to dispute the charge with my credit card company and no luck since Lemon Squad buries this in their terms and conditions. A totally dishonest company. These cowards don't even have a real address. They use a PO Box. Avoid these scammers at all cost!

I was an inspector for Lemon Squad about 8 or 9 years ago. It looks like they have improved the website/report quality significantly. The owner Andy is a nice guy.
