Has any one had experience in Oregon our truck has Been in the shop for 25 days we have taken it in 5 times including being towed in. The dealer lied to us twice we knew this and confirmed it with another service shop. The computer confirmed also showed what they did didn't do. We want a replacement truck we are so frustrated. We have not been able to go camping or haul wood, on Labor day and the 4th of July we have haf no truck. It started with abs lights coming on then the major repair warning currently the rear brake is locking up causing a drag on it. We only have 2 cars how long does this process take?

AS far as I know, here in Oregon, lemon law only applies if you have to bring the vehicle in more than twice for the same major issue (i.e. changing out transmission twice but still having issues a third time)? Maybe someone else can chime in.

Which dealer are you going to out here?

Instead of suggesting a lawyer, why aren't you people suggesting trying another dealer first? The dealer is a private business, and some dealer suck - but that doesn't mean your toyota sucks. Try Royal Moore in Hillsboro, Ask for Rick the service manager and tell him Fishler sent you. Those guys bent over backwards after another portland dealer effed me years ago and everyone I have switched to them still uses them to this day for service and continue to thank me for the connection.

Please explain how toyota is going to locate op and figure out what truck is his and then screw him over. Maybe they will locate his IP address then use positioning technology to locate his address and cross-reference that with there data base to figure out his address to figure out his VIN #. Then they could locate his dealer and tell the dealer to screw him around even more. That sound's like something toyota is involved with.

Your a goof I think your tin foil hat is on to tight.

Trust me, this kind of stuff DOES happen. Happened with me in regards to our business. A world wide company somehow tracked my complaint, figured out who I was and what piece of equipment we had, called the dealer we bought it from - figured out the second dealer we were having service it and a service manager for the region called me on my cell phone to let me know he was sorry and that they'd be reimbursing me. All from a forum post - and a location of "PACNW" listed in our profile.

We are using a different dealer they are trying to fix what the first dealer did. I am not here to bash the truck we liked our truck I just want be able to use and have confidence that it was fixed and I won't have a problem in a few months or that we don't break down. We had a 2004 for 12 years and zero issues. We bought this truck as a retirement truck and based on Toyota reliability. I made payements for a month while the truck was in the shop what would you do?

Hey you don't have to convince me...i've been in your position before (not with a Toyota, but with business equipment) and our business was halted for a month while a brand new piece of equipment that costs as much as one of these trucks wasn't running properly out of the box. It was a stressful, and shitty first month and really left a bad taste in my mouth, but a year and a half later we don't even think about it anymore and this machine is a work horse. I'm sure you'll be driving this thing down the road shortly, happy as can be and thinking about how much you love it. Sorry to hear you're having issues.

Thanks for the advice I will report back once we decide what we are going to do. I would prefer to be up in mountains right now if I had my truck.

The OP doesn't have all that many posts (and I'm not going to search through their post history), but I've seen first-hand where denied warranty claims were due to online forum posts in the Subaru community...grant it, the basis for denial was based on aftermarket modifications (that were removed prior to service incident), but the reasoning they provided was printed forum posts that they were able to identify the owner of the vehicle.

If you're having trouble with an issue that may require some kind of legal intervention (e.g., lemon law), the best advice is to keep your mouth shut online. If you think that there aren't people employed by Toyota perusing enthusiast forums, you're an idiot. If they can find anything incriminating that would allow them to deny a warranty claim, they will use it.

Call one of your local news station consumer advocate people. A local woman had a POS dodge journey with leaking issues and got the run around from dodge corporate and dealer. She called Jesse Jones and he got it taken care of. Gave her money back pronto.

At the dealer for 25 days? Unacceptable.

    Mods coming soon...

Hey ehunter, pm me here or over on Ifish. I'd really like to know the dealer as I have had my own encounters with dealers on my 2016. I haven't had the same issues as you mention but it's taken a lot longer to get things resolved than it should.

This is another good suggestion; pressure from local media sources could push a dealership to make a favorable deal in your favor. Depending on the situation, a dealership may choose to take a business loss on a particular case vs being dragged in front of the entire viewing public (and lose potential customers as a result). There was a national story (I remember reading about this on Jalopnik, although, I'm not sure if it referenced this specific article or not) about a NY dealership chain scamming buyers with third-party theft protection packages:
    http://www.syracuse.com/news/index....n_to_settle_lawsuit_with_5320_car_buyers.html

How much that hurt sales, I'm not sure.

A phone call / voicemail stating "Hi, I work for [CBS/ABC/NBC/Fox] Channel #. I am calling in regards to an issue with [Customer] in which multiple issues have occurred, and [Lemon Law]..." could go a long way to helping the OPs case.

If I were a business owner, I would not want to have press like the article I posted in front of prospective buyers eyes; if I could make that kind of publicity go away easily, I would.
