Does anyone know how to remove that panel? I just tried trim removal tools and it won’t budge. Do I need to remove that section of the lower dash? Any help would be appreciated.

I just took a flat head and went into the corner and gently pried it and then pulled it out. You don’t need to remove the dash.

It's tight and you might need to do the whole lower trim which is basically (1) driver door sill trim, (2) driver kick panel, and (3) lower trim. Should be clips for the first two (so just yank) and 3 screws (low side) plus clips (top side) for the lower trim.

After the first time I was able to do it from the front but it's tough doing it without damaging the surrounding trim.

Gotta take off entire panel under steering column. Pretty easy when u know how. First take off the two doir trim pieces. 3 bolts and pull it off from bottom left corner moving right. Mind the red clips, cuz they need to go back on the panel

I honestly didn’t need any tools or to remove any panels to Pop it out. Just put your fingers on each side and pull out firmly. Mine popped out that way.

You could use a plastic putty knife or something as well, but make sure you put some tape around the end of it and on your panel so you don’t scratch it.

To pop the trim piece out (which includes the cubby) it works fine. You’ll have to remove the 4 screws to remove the cubby once it’s out ...but that’s implied.

Ironically, now that the cubby on mine is gone (replaced with a Redarc) I’ll likely have to take the kick panel off since there’s nothing left to grab onto....
