So I've got a couple of questions concerning lights mounted behind the grill. I'm planning on doing the Satoshi-style grill mod on my '12 and have the BAMF Light Bracket to mount lights, but I am curious about the type of mesh I should use. I've got some small diamond mesh from customcargrills that is 65% open area that I was planning on using, but I want to get as much light down range as possible. So does anyone else have this sort of setup and/or noticed any issues? Should I try to mount the lights closer to the grill to minimize the mesh blocking the light output? I'm planning on running a few lights, but I've got a pair of Rigid Duallys that I will start with first.

Thanks for the help and if there is a similar write-up feel free to pass it on, I did a little searching but couldn't find quite what I was looking for.

I have 3 Squadron XL's mounted behind a Grillecraft mesh grill and I have no issues with them being behind the grill. You can see a little bit of the mesh pattern on the outside of the lights beam but not bad at all!
