Was hoping someone could help me out with some measurements. I am looking to replace my old busted foggers on my brush guard. I would love to do a light bar instead of two individual lights again. I do a lot of off roading and mountain driving and always had a hard time keeping them in line. The problem I have is there is a set distance between my mounting holes. I have 20 inches from outer edge to outer edge. Most of the light bars I have found won't give me the distance between the mounts. I don't really want to do a bunch of trial and error and most parts stores near me don't have a wide selection if any. I have almost 30 inches between the up rights so I can be flexible on the size of the bar. Don't know if anyone else has run into this problem but any help would be much appreciated.

Use a vertical bolt that matches the threads for the light bar mounts and a bunch of washers. That's what I did when I had a warn brush guard.

I will keep that in mind if I have to go through the up rights. The holes I am trying to use are on the horizontal cross bar though. Sorry probably should have specified that. Thanks though.

The top is tubular right? Couldn't you use some mounts like this?

I used the mounts in the middle of the picture above to mount my light bar and it is solid as a rock. I got them on Amazon.

why not get a 30" piece of flat stock steel and drill holes at 20" to mount it on the light tabs, then drill holes where needed for whatever size light bar you get?

I had not even thought about finding a way to mount the light bar on the tubes of my guards. That would completely negate having to use the existing holes and keep me from having to drill new ones. I'll need to do a bit of measuring before I order anything. I'll keep you guy posted, thanks for the assist.

Yep. Just keep in mind, that some bars will have not only the side cap mounting points, but also bottom mounts. Like this one.. This one only has bottom mounts, but does have holes in the end caps. But one or the other might depend on which of those tubular mounts you want to get. The middle ones are good for end cap mounting. Other ones would work too, but not as practical as youd have to utilize the leg mounts that come with the bar as well. But those other ones might work better for bars that have the bottom only mounting legal like this one.

Pretty simple to make a bracket to fit what ever holes you have in the bumper .

I know for myself I would want the light bar recessed or some unskilled driver would back into it at the grocery store.

Then it might be one of my unskilled coworkers with the forklift again

All the parts finally showed up today. Couldn't help my self and did most of the install by head lamp. Was a super easy install thanks to the help on the mounts. Can't wait to put it to the real test on some trails.20170314_212146.jpg 20170314_212118.jpg 20170314_212055.jpg
