Anyway, was looking at (low beam) headlight kits.. (As in the two bulbs and the 'capacitor' that sandwiches in between, so as not to confuse the computer and getting some sort of warning light..)
    I ask because:
I'm older and my 'night vision' isn't anywhere near what it used to be...
I truly live in the boonies .. The nearest 'street light' is 50 miles away .. So when I say it's 'dark' at night, it's DARK... So I kinda' need all the help I can get.
So is the $100 +- cost for the LED replacement kits worth the cost? Are they that much better?
At the same time, I don't wanna be 'THAT asshole guy who is blinding people coming the other way, even though I have everything on 'low' ..
    Any thoughts/opinions/suggestions?
I know, I can switch between low/high while driving (I think my rig has the automatic dimmer) but I'm just sort of looking for a happy medium ..

To my knowledge LEDs scatter light in our halogen projectors, creating that "blinding" effect that you don't want. You may be better off just getting a light bar or pods and wiring it directly under the grill, above the bumper in that small space. You'll get a lot more light for safe night driving in the sticks and you can turn it off in an instant, negating any possible ill effects on other drivers.

I've learned that cheap LED/HID's are not the way to go. You want to buy good quality bulbs and you just bought a brand new truck, what's another $100? I have had much better luck with HID's over LED's. They are much brighter and fuller and depends on the model fit easier. My H11 LED's won't fit into my 2020 as the driver side is obstructed by the battery but HID's fit no problem. I did put in H11 LED bulbs into my factor fog light housing in lieu of H16's as they are more power and do not generate the heat of Halogen and HID so I did not have to worry about melting the housing. The LED fogs are fantastic for dark country roads. You won't blind anyone as long as everything is aligned properly. I've only been flashed once and that is because I lifted the front 2". I am installing an add a leaf tonight which will bring the back end back up and give me factory rake again. It is nice that Toyota includes projector housings on all trim levels.

Yea don’t listen to this. @crashnburn80 is the lighting expert through scientific research. You can see but these ones post the the chips aren’t even close together which means lack of focus. Foreground light is bright but there is no throw leaving at risk of running out your headlights while driving. There’s also a reason reputable bulb manufacturing companies are labeling there drop in LEDs as Fogs only or off road use only because they aren’t meant for halogen housing.

Been using them since May 2019. No issues and the performance is great.

I've tried 4 different brands of good quality LED's. None of them are as bright as running H9 bulbs.

That is not a legitimate headlight bulb product and full of the usual red flags. The emitters are way too large, focus will be poor. All the specs are ridiculously overinflated to the point of being laughable that someone would believe them. It is obviously not a 360 degree beam as advertised, more false misleading advertising. They talk about the board being super thin, which is the right direction but it is the distance between emitter faces that actually matters which they don't address. You're going to end up with poor focus and lots of foreground light, which will initially appear great from the driver seat, but actual performance will be poor. The fact that their 'brightest and best' LEDs can be had for $40 should also be another significant red flag that you are being upsold cheap China garbage. Any decently built product should cost around twice that on the low end. I wouldn't recommend wasting your money.

The science says otherwise, as @crashnburn80 has already done the studies. You are falsely thinking they are brighter, it's more mental than actual. If you want real useful LEDs, you would need to go with the OEM LEDs, Morimoto XBs or retrofit with the Morimoto MLED 2.0.

Well I can confirm that they do appear great from the driver seat!
