I couldnt find a thread about replacing the OEM fog lights.

What is the best brand for doing this with LED lights?

Note all the updated products linked at the top of that thread. The Diode Dynamics SS3s are currently the top performers with several models to choose from.

What year is your Tacoma? Most the products in that thread will fit the factory light mounts in a 12+ including the SS3s.

The SS3s you linked above are the ones I was referring to. See the links at the top of the SAE thread you were pointed to for the reviews.

Did you want fog lights or driving lights? Driving lights are a high beam pattern that cannot be used with vehicles ahead of you just like your stock high beams. Fog lights have cut offs so they can be run with oncoming traffic and are a low and wide pattern to aid in poor weather driving conditions. Your stock fogs are a fog light.

Nice looking truck and I'm glad you like your new lights. Speaking from personal experience with the DD SS3 fogs (I had the Pros and now have the Max's), proper aim is critical. I think you'll find that to get proper aiming with the Pros, you need to start with where you mount the pod itself within the supplied bracket before you install the unit. With the side bolts slightly loose, slide the pod all the way back in the bracket. Now, leave the bolts just tight enough so you can just move the pod up and down with your hand. Next, install the lights on both sides. With the truck on level ground facing a clean wall, move the lights all the way down in the mounts. Make sure the left and right sides are aimed level. Test drive the truck.

I think you'll find that you're a bit high right now, but all the way down works almost perfectly. If it doesn't, move them both up just a bit. When you get them where you like them, tighten the adjustment bolts up. Enjoy being able to actually see at night and not bother oncoming drivers!

Excellent advice, thank you. I set the the adjusting bolts right in the center for now to begin with and then I will do what you say and start fine tuning them

Cool! super easy to install, I went from the top and didnt have to remove anything from the truck. One video talks about popping off the grill or going from underneath and pulling back the fender shroud but i didnt have to do any of that.

I watched this video and did the pre-install the way they did it. I just didnt need to remove the grill like they did.
