To clarify, the only makers of Amber are KC and Morimoto, KC covers a much larger area. All the data is in the linked thread. However, what many people mean when they say amber is actually selective yellow, which is far higher performing than amber. In which case Diode Dynamics SS3s are the way to go as they are vastly superior to the competition. See the Diode Dynamics SS3 link at the top of the thread.

I’m running Baja SAE fogs in amber/yellow (whatever you wanna call it) and would recommend. Brighter than the cheap Amazon amber led’s I had prior and they have a nice cutoff since they’re DOT compliant.

Yep, unfortunately Baja is incompetent in many regards in SAE lighting, including labeling the light color incorrectly according to SAE standards. The actual color is Selective Yellow.

They are among the lowest performing SAE option on the market, and ridiculously overpriced for what you get. See the data. Diode Dynamics is over 4.5x higher intensity output while providing better cut offs at a lower price point. There isn't even the slightest comparison here.

Cool. I re-read your initial comment and deleted the post before you replied. Good on you for going so in depth and being quick draw at replying. Bajas work for me and have great customer service. Don’t need the brightest, just need reliable. Never heard of diode dynamics. Plus, knowing vendors who get great pricing helps.

No worries. Baja does have great customer service and a nice 5000k white, but beyond that they get schooled pretty hard by far more advanced LED designs by Diode Dynamics, which are also made in the USA. I started that thread to give TW a comparison guide on SAE lights. If you are happy with Baja that is great, however they are lower intensity output than the stock H11 12-15 and 16+ TRD H11 fogs, leaving many to feel like they they paid for a downgrade, because they did. These measurements are backed by the Diode Dynamics video above and my own posts. 05-11 had pretty poor performing low power H10 fogs, so your point of reference in 'good' may be far lower than a more modern truck with much higher power better performing fogs. Regardless, the SS3s are light years ahead in performance and engineering design than Bajas SAE fogs.

After watching the video and seeing the DD product and the price I think im going to switch. Is there a discount code that works?

A few mods here and there and counting....
You just missed their 4th of July sale. I can only assume the next sale will be in November. I've had the BajaDesigns SAE fogs pre/post shield fix...pre was awesome, but produced a lot of upward glare for the street. Post shield...it sucked. Removed in favor of DD SS3 Pros. Much better now.

Cold, hard numbers would suggest that you could actually be much happier. I was pretty happy with my OEM fogs, then my Morimotos, then my KC's. Then I got the DD SS3 Pros. I'm much happier now.
