Leather Manual Shifter Boot on an Automatic Shifter??

In my boredom today, I started to look up putting a Leather Shifter boot on my Automatic.

I couldn't find any posts of people doing this....Does anyone know anyone who's done this? Just looking for recommendations on parts to use and I'm curious what it might look like.

Ideally I'd like to fool anyone looking into my truck to think it's a Manual. What do you guys think? Good idea or never gonna fool anyone?




Looks like the boot is too far forward to just swap one for the other.

Probably won't do this anytime soon but I'd like to consider it for later. Thanks
