Noticed a purple/pink puddle under my truck today. Somewhat oily. Right under the hood area:

What is this? Coolant? Front diff? Any tips on where should I start looking for the source?

// edit - Google suggests it's coolant. Anyone had leaks? Any angle the dealer could use to blame this on my lift?

Feel it. If it's oily, its most likely transmission. (Automatic) If it is watery, give it a taste. If it is sweet, it is antifreeze. (By taste, I mean a tiny bit on your finger)

Thanks. It was oily when I felt it (note the streak through the puddle from my finger). Guess I'll get under the truck tomorrow and see what I can see.

It may feel slick, but it could still be antifreeze. Coming from your 2016?

Yup. Just over 10,500km now. I'll check it out again tomorrow and see whether it has a taste to it.

My truck was over full from the factory. Ended up sloshing a bit out last time I off-roaded

Updated the post above w/ a better image, including an inlay of the actual coolant container. Way over-filled, and this is with god-knows how much spilled out.

Am I correct in assuming there's no harm in driving it as it is and letting the overflow coolant leak out until it's at a proper level? Also another assumption is that the "leaking out" is done intentionally, right?
