Ok, the front of my taco sits at 38” on driver and pass, dead even. The rear driver sits 1/4” lower than the rear pass. It has sat like this before and after the lift.
I need to chase down a small but annoying squeak on the driver side. While taking it apart, would there be any negative effects of adding a small spacer to bring that side up a bit? See pic.
Maybe a 1/4” piece of flat stock cut to fit between axle and spring pack.

Should be fine. Wheelers sells a 1/2" leaf shim kit specifically for this purpose.

I think the 1/2 would be too much.

Yeah, then you'd be 1/4" the other way. I was just making the case that if they're selling kits for this purpose, you should be safe in doing it.

Also test it with an empty tank and then again with a full tank of gas.
