Hey y’all, I have a busted leaf spring on the rear passenger side of the truck (2.7l xtracab). I’m wondering where is the best place to source a new set of leaf springs from. I assume I should do both sides as well? I don’t want any extra lift, and the rear shocks are new bilsteins.

I recommend General Spring, along with new hardware.

    Easy fix.

@Andy01DblCabTacoma should be coming in shortly to chime in what other 'names' the General Spring leaf pack goes by in case you can find it cheaper elsewhere otherwise they're cheap enough as is from GS

Yes, do both springs. Suggest new bushings.

Remains to be seen I bought the tires and wheels the rest came along
    Welcome to the Forum!!

    General Springs again.

They under sold all the local spring shops in the area with shipping.

    Check the shipping before buying.

It is lots of grunt work but the first time can be time consuming depending where the truck lives.

    Best of Luck !

Here are several options depending on how you use the truck:

Replacing Leaf Springs on a 1st gen Tacoma - (And as others have mentioned, General spring is a good option if you're looking for a simple stock replacement.) Don't forget to replace the u-bolts as well; those are a single-use item.

Like others have said it's a lot of grunt work but man it's worth it in the end. I went with the OME Dakars and nitro chargers and some other extra bits. The one thing I notice on my older Tacoma is that all the hardware they used is actually really good. Not a single thing broke or stripped out.

Only if it's rusted together, otherwise super easy.
