Anybody know what size bolts are used for the front eyes on the leaf springs? I've got a 96 4wd if that matters. Using OME Dakars. I want to stop and pick them up at the hardware store before I tear everything apart and don't have a ride to get there. Thanks!

Also, the bolts for the shackle end as well. Or are they the same?

    Pretty much stock right now
I recommend getting the greasable bolts for both ends. Have you removed the old ones yet on the front? They can weld themselves in place. The last two I did required the use of a sawsall to remove them.

Not sure of the size but if you are replacing them from a hardware store, be sure you get grade 8 or above bolts.

I have not removed anything yet. I wanted to get new bolts before I took the truck apart so I'd have a ride to the hardware store. I don't think mine should be too difficult, they were replaced not long ago with dorman stock leafs by the previous owner.

That's what I was planning on doing. Just wanted to know the size. If I take one off to match up at the hardware store, I won't have a ride to get there.

I looked in the garage, couldnt find the spare one I thought I had.
Youll have to pull up a parts diagram somewhere. Maybe check the parts list of on a pair of dakkars one ome website.

A little. I'm doing some digging online to see if anyone has ever posted the size. I guess I could always just take the new bushing to the store with me and figure it out that way. Is the bolt supposed to fit pretty snug in the bushing?

Theres a metal sleeve in the rubber. It should slide right in.

I think that's the rough dimensions of the packaging. The bolt is about 4" long from what I've read. I found an old thread that says they're an M14 x 1.5 pitch x 100mm. I just need to find bolts that have a long enough shoulder. If the hardware store doesn't have them I guess I'll order those ones from Wheelers.
