Anyone know what length/width bolts for the front of the leaf spring? Was going to get some oem ones from Toyota but once he told me the price I changed my mind.

2.5" wide, 7" long, and should be squared, not rounded.

Really? That doesn't seem like the size of the ones I had to cut. Maybe 9/16 and 5"? But I'm just estimating

Leaf springs are 2.5" wide, so you'll need u bolts for that width. Then stock leaf packs use 7" long u bolts. If you have an aftermarket leaf pack, you'll need to measure for extra length. Pro tip, you can always cut off excess threads if u bolts are too long. As for actual u bolt diameter, I don't know. I'll have to measure what I have to get you an accurate number.

Me thinks he was asking about the frame mount, not the U-bolts...

These are want you want: I believe they are M14x1.5 x 100mm long.

I fucking missed that didn't I. Ok, they're metric. Exact #, not sure. I think I used 1/2" grade 8 when I did my HD shackle. Boy I need to read better.

Wow unless your dealer prices went sky high Hardware prices were reasonable

Now it has been a few years since I bought a 10 pack of those bolts but I did not think it was bad

Now that I think about it the 45 was also for one more bolt that I needed. Still insane for 3 bolts with hardware. But also don't want to buy some bolts that won't be as strong

If you need them today, just get some grade 8 (grade 10.9 for metric) hardware from Ace. I've had really good luck finding good hardware there. Auto parts stores are crap for this kind of stuff (and this was coming from the guy at O'Reily!).

I wouldn't order *just* the bolts from Wheeler's, though, shipping will probably be more than the bolts. Maybe use it as an excuse to upgrade to some extended travel Kings and Deavers, and then just throw in the new bolts while you're at it... :)

You can just go OEM from "not your dealer." Here's the parts:

    bolt: 90080-10135 - $4.03
    washer: 90201-14005 - $1.59
    nut: 90179-14039 - $1.60

I bought 2 bolts from the dealer totalling 20 bucks not realizing the washer and nut wasn't included. They were charging 4 bucks for a washer and another 4 for the nut. Walked out, probably heading to ace hardware

I have ever to get any out with cutting .

It comes down to the metal liner in the bushing seizing to the bolt since the OD is now larger then the holes in the spring hanger ..

Having tried every thing I just cut both ends off and pry the spring out .

I have no problem removing the nut

I've only removed greasable bolts one time, and they came right out. But, they had only been in about 18 months. Now they've been in four years. Sounds like they may not be as cooperative this time. They get greased when I do the drive shaft, about once a year.

If you have an ACE Hardware near you, you can get some (2) M14 x 100mm with locking nuts for $14. Thats what i had to do but may upgrade to the zerk bolts later. ACE has never let me down when i needed metric hardware. They are definitely my "go-to."

Ended up just biting the bullet and buying the oem hardware from the stealership. I did go to ace hardware and they really did have a fine selection of nuts and bolts but I felt with a crucial suspension part I might as well go oem.
