So I finally made my mind to install an JL Audio 8 inch compact enclosure on a non JBL radio so I tapped on to the 2 front speaker wires to get signal to the LC2 Audio Control unit
This was a pretty basic install and ended placing both the Memphis amp and the LC2 under the drivers seat.check out the pictures and let me know if you have any questions.AA183852-7DBD-413E-BAEA-5DC3309A6141.jpg78EE9154-C5BF-4976-989E-265DB357C519.jpgACCF6F32-4DAB-4D38-8537-12374ED9B124.jpgFF8A8FBC-9C39-47D0-A3E1-EDD4B2FA657E.jpg

It’s great man I was actually thinking about adding a,JL audio amp but the Memphis I think is rated at 250 watts and and it’s more than enough it hits some low notes would even think it is a bigger sub than an 8 inch
I replaced the front speakers only with 6x9 and I think it will need some tweeters cause with all the bass I don’t hear enough highs. If you are an average listener I think it’s more than enough

Well I have an update my whole set up consisted of 6x9 JBL 3 ways and the JL Audio 8 inch subwoofer
And it was loud enough however once I was raising the volume the 6x9 were suffering from not enough watts and the clarity was suffering
Solution: I asked for for help at Paradyme here in Sacramento and the rep offered me a JL Audio JD 400/4 amp since I have the LC2 Audio Control, this tiny unit has a sub and a main amp output which made the addition/install of the 4 Channel JD 400/4 a breeze!!
Result: a complete new world !! The 6x9 JBLs and the 8 inch JL both have more than enough power I’m barely using 1/10th of turn of the gain controls and the sound is extraordinary +I will add pictures this weekend for you all to see it again this for my 21 access cab Tacoma Non JBL system and please believe me when I say I don’t need anything else I have plenty of punch and clarity and I was able to adjust the amp to maximum volume from the stereo with no distortion so I would highly recommend this set up to anyone trying to upgrade your non JBL system.
This however gave me a nice benchmark for my other Tacoma equipped with the JBL system but I know at least what amp I will be aiming for…
Im thinking a JD 400/4 and a jd 500 or the RD 5 channel amp rated at about 700 watts for the entire system.
Thanks for reading let me know if you have questions
    Thanks
