Lay down on your couch, or is that weird?

My other half and I disagree about stretching out on the couch. I don't see a problem with it, but not when we have company, and certainly not at other people's house. She thinks of the couch as a chair for sitting only. If I want to lay down, go lay down on the bed.

That got me thinking. This is one of those things that people either do/don't do, but you'd never know. Do you stretch out on your couch, or is that weird?

I have a recliner that serves both sitting and stretching out purposes.

I haven’t sat or stretched out on the couch in years.

See: (Blondie and) Dagwood. If someone is that weird about kicking back on the couch . . . . RUN.

Bed is for two things (three if you have the flu) and neither of them involve stretching out and plotting the demise of your boss, or how you'd run things if you ruled the world.

We do a half-sprawl so we can both fit. Half laid back on cushions each side, knees bent but up off the floor. This is the way.

My couches have power recline. I prefer that over laying down, but I suppose it's kind of the same thing. Our dog has his own lazy boy recliner too.

    :ohsnap:
80% sit straight like in a chair
20% lay down on one side or the other but my current couch doesn’t really allow that.

Personally I prefer a nice seat over laying when watching the tube.

It's a sofa up here :canada:. And hell ya you can lay down on them, have a good nap, curl up with the dog. I'm 6', so head on 1 arm rest, feet up on the other. It's sofa-king comfortable

Wife and I both lay down on ours. With a nice blanket and dog it’s the best way to relax.
