    Hey everyone!

I was thinking on doing a quick trip to Lake Tahoe this weekend for some camping mountain biking and paddle boarding at the state park on the Nevada side.

I was wondering if anyone had recommendations on where I can RTT camp at? Open to some light to mild trails also!

I love it! It gets the job done. Sawmill and Bowman were slightly out of the way since we wanted to ride the Rim/Flume trail the next morning. We ended up camping off Kings Canyon Rd. Theres a large flat area we were planning on camping at but there were no camping signs all over so we just took that road a bit further down to a pullout. The bike shuttle guy said they has recently closed off that area since people were throwing massive ragers there.

Not a whole lot of camping available on the right side of the lake, but tons on the left side

Yeah according to Gaia, lots more National Forest land to roam on the California side. We had a lot of activities planned for the day so I didn't want to spend a whole lot of time driving to the trailhead. I was originally thinking I could maybe camp on the Genoa Trail but we ended up staying for sunset on the Flume Trail so I was too lazy. Plus I had the bike rack on. Some pics of the weekend:

The Flume Trail! Easily the best views in Tahoe. You can hike up the steep 4 mile trail to get there, but we opted to take the bike shuttle instead that dropped us off in Tahoe Meadows. That trail connects to the Tahoe Rim Trail which then connects to the Flume Trail, about 14 miles in total. Definitely worth checking out the next time youre there!

    Related to this,

Does anyone know if there's an off-pavement option to get from Incline (or even father east) around to Carnelian Bay? I've done some wandering around the fire roads above Carnelian as far east as Norhtstar, but I'm about to go up there for a week (driving up 395 and over on 50 from Carson City) and I'd love a way to avoid the 4th weekend traffic on the loop highway, even if it's not necessarily faster.
