    Hey guys,

Normally I do these things with a mechanical buddy who has a shop but this time around it's not an option and I'd rather have it done right the first time. So I'm looking into having a 4x4 shop install my lift kit which includes new shocks front and rear, new leaf packs, new UCA's. If any of you are familiar with the costs, what should I be expecting? I know it's a big job with new UCA's and new leaf packs so I'm guessing around a 8-10 hour job for a shop?

    Not including an alignment costs.

    Thanks

I mean labor can be anywhere from $50-$125+ an hour. For more accurate numbers, just call some shops around you and ask.

Awesome it’s exciting to get the lift. Which Kit you getting? What’s shop labor rate?

Main Line gets about $1400 for installation of front & rear with UCA's and ECGS. Includes alignment.

Local place that did mine was ~600 for all the above, plus extended brake lines.

It was a 6 or 7 hour job if I remember right from drop off to pickup.

I just called my local shop. Planning to do some 6112/5160 with a Deaver AAL. Having them mount some new rims and 275/70/17 tires. Possibly UCAs. With alignment and such. They said it’ll be a little less than $1k. So maybe $800-$900 range.

I did the job as a complete beginner in about 20 hours over 2 days, so your estimate of 8-10 for a shop doesn’t sound too far off. If you planning on remote reservoir shocks, you might add an hour. Getting at the mount point on the rear is a major PITA.

I've reached out to a local 4x4 shop (Main Line Overland) and they're estimating about 10 hours at a rate of $129/hr. For sure a little steep for my pocketbook but I see the benefit of having a nice suspension system installed on a nice truck the right way the first time. Going to be a bit to think about but thanks for the responses.

Edit: I've done a bit of research and I know these guys are very reputable so I know it'd be worth it.

I paid $350 for my SPC UCAs to be installed, swap new coils onto my 5100s, and install an AAL + mount my new tires and alignment.
