Anybody have any experience with KYB strut mounts or top hats? They have good reviews on Summit's website.

I want to replace my top hats while I install my 5100s and level my front. I ran into these and they have a good price too. I'm also seeing Monroe for a little bit more.

I just put these on a set of 5100's with old man 885 springs. Havn't thrown them on the truck yet, but so far, first impression with assembly is they are top notch.

Cool, as long as they fit good. The look pretty solid IMO.

I ordered a set. I think that's the last part I needed to level my truck. Now, I just have to sit and wait.

The 885s fit no problem? Some of the other aftermarket top hats the OME spring ID is to small for them. I have that issue now and these would solve my problem so I can install the 886s I have.

Sounds like OME would need a specific top hat. I'm curious to hear the answer. I'm just running my factory coils, but when I decide to go 3" this would be good to know. Was looking at Ebeich from Toytech.

@tacobell007 Do you recall what our issue was with these when we installed them on mine? I know there was something.
Had to do with the studs I think.

I have no experience with those top hats but I know KYB makes some very high end shocks.

@tacoRenner do you have these installed on the shocks with the OME springs and there was no issue?

Looking at my truck, it looks like I already have KYB top hats.

I just switched out my stock top hats for these and they are great. I have them on 5100's with eibachs at zero. I used to have the stock top hats with 5100's and ome 884's at zero. This current setup is far superior and so much smoother.

My hats off to Summit. They shipped yesterday and are already here. Just need my shocks and struts now.

I used these when I put a newer set of 5100s on last year. No issues so far.

No experience with KYB stuff on my truck, but I ran KYB struts and mounts on the car I autocrossed back in college.
