Hi, this is my first write up / review, so I'll do my best. I just bought these:

Kryptek seat covers with flag by RuffTuff at Cabela's

    2llk2tc_b390983db170cdf80e8ab6c452ab2312983956d5.jpg

They are available in "Highlander" or "Typhon" only, as far as I can tell. I didn't buy the ones with the Cabela's logo like those above, mine will have an American flag with the Kryptek logo in that spot on the seat. edit: like this:

Here are all the Kryptek styles for clothing, etc.:

I bought the Kryptek Highlander pattern.

Price was quite high, over $700 for front and rear with outrageous WA state tax. I decided Wet Okole was nice but didn't have the look I was shooting for. My truck is green with tan interior. Also, I really like that these come with Molle straps on the back of the seat:
    90umi9_49486eab803a4117d2472d893d8a57556d541215.jpg

I plan to put water bottle holders and other bags on the seat back to hold useful gear, food, etc.

Ordered through Cabela's. You have to call in, can't buy them on the web due to too many differences in styles of auto seats and Cabela's likely doesn't want to pay to develop the web interface. Phone operator was friendly and helpful, overall.

Got a call about five days later from RuffTuff. Apparently the message didn't come through to them that I have SR5 seats and the passenger seat folds flat. But they called to ask, which is reassuring. She said two to three weeks until they show up. I'll update when I get them.

Does the currently listed sale price still tally up the same as what you paid? If it's less maybe a question about why they are lowering the price on an "ordered at full price item" that has yet to be received, and what it means to you. I don't do business with Cabela's but I have questioned other retailers about situations like that and the difference has been refunded to me.

Either way, it's a bit of a fun sponge to order something that isn't custom and be forced to wait for it. Hope you enjoy them when they do arrive.

Well they showed up today. They look great, but they sent me the wrong part number, these ones have the cabelas logo, not the flag. Sending them back. arrgh. They are going to call me tomorrow to tell me how long it will take. I bet they will just remove the logo and slap the flag logo on the same covers. Better not be visible holes in the ones I get back.
Anyway, no comments on fitment until I get the right ones, but I can say that they feel extremely sturdy and appear completely water resistant if not water proof. 600 denier nylon is tougher than I thought.

I'm usually not a big fan of the moto stuff, but these look pretty good. I'd like to see how they look on the truck. Thanks for screwing up Cabelas!

Just spent $3,800 for a new bicycle frame myself. Some peoples budgets and demands are different than others.

Yup. I went with katzkin leather and spent $1395, but I had it professionally installed the next week in under 5 hours. And everything was exactly as I ordered it.

I guess high quality is expensive.

Well I have spoken to both Cabela's and RuffTuff. They are both very apologetic and say there will be a rush on correcting them. We'll see how it goes.

Yes, if you want quality you pay for it. Wet Okole is similarly priced. I buy once and buy right. Most of my tools in my garage are the same ones I've had for over a decade. Buying cheap USUALLY gives inferior results or requires replacing more often at an increased overall cost.

    Plus cool things cost more

I can make a honest review on these seat covers. I had these. Installed the fronts and was beyond disappointed. It was extremely tight fitting granted it was new but the stitches were screaming and I was afraid to even sit in them. The fabric felt like a damn tarp. To me they were over priced and crappy fit. I called the company I ordered them from within 20 min of install and returned them. Ordered Wet Okole's the next day and had to wait awhile but totally worth it. I ordered them in woodland camo.

Well I guess to each their own. I knew what I was getting when I ordered a 600 denier nylon seatcover. I have installed the seat bottoms and the headrests, the seatbacks are going back tomorrow for the correct logo. I will say that it is a tight fit on the headrests, I see what you meant there. There is a stitch that looks strained on the passenger headrest. However, the seat bottoms fit amazing. RuffTuff included a plastic "tucking device" to tuck the covers into any areas of the seat plastics. I didn't think I would use it but I actually used it a bunch. Took me about an hour to install seat bottoms and headrests. Maybe a bit more but I was cleaning too. In all, I really like these so far. If only the attention to detail with my order hadn't been a fail, I'd be happy camper.

In all, I would agree that they are priced too high, but realistically, I think every custom thing for our trucks is priced 20% too high. That's just how it is. I will give a review here of each aspect and change it if required when I get the seat backs:

    Price: *** - too high.
Fit: **** - Nearly perfect but headrests too tight at initial install.
Looks: ***** - They really look badass.
Comfort: **** - They could add more padding. Comes with minimal foam. In all, adds comfort to the seats, no uncomfortable sharp edges or seams, etc.
Water resistance: *** - I actually sprayed water on them to check and it beads up and rolls right off. Unfortunately, the seams are not backtaped so water will find its way in eventually if left sitting on the seats. I may do some taping myself, I may not.

I'll post photos of final install once I get them in, otherwise, that's my review. Hope it helps someone.

Who installed them? I'd live to see the bill of sale. I was just quoted 1900 for them installed.

Just wanted to post an update, almost two years later and they look exactly like day one. No rips/tears/wear anywhere that I can see. These were a solid purchase, and I recommend them to anyone. Just understand these are heavy duty nylon, not sheepskin or butter soft leather. Taking them off next spring for a two year look underneath, then we'll see what kind of protection the seats have truly been getting.

I have had mine for about a year and they are great. Tough and rugged I beat the crap out of them. If you beat your seats up these will protect them. They are just like the material of most military bags and vests. They aren't super soft or for luxury.

Selling my truck so these are now up for sale, $300 for the set is fair, less than half what I paid. Remember, they fit the SR5, which doesn't have the same seats as sport or off roads do. PM if interested.
