But do those latches have defrost and work remotely and from the inside?:D

    - Yep - it 'looks' like a knock-off...
It looks like they went to production straight from the builder's original napkin drawing...

I'm sure it will get some people 'there'...

    copyright / patent issues maybe?

Looks like it doesn't really fit the bed (too small), there's a huge gap, like the header rail isn't even covered.

I went down this rabbit hole when initially cap shopping, even emailing the guy. Bottom line, he's a drop shipper from CA who imports them from Alibaba/China and slaps his brand on it. They're junk. Save another grand and get a real smart cap or go alu cab.
If you look closely on their website you can actually see the gas springs installed upside down lol. I doubt this would last. It's also "powder coated" but an Alibaba powdercoat is about as good as wooden frying pan and the cap itself probably leaks like a crochet condom.

Edit: Here was my thread on it. You can get them on alibaba for less than $800. So, yeah. Also has "tactical" in the name so you know it's quality.

Yup! I did the same when I was looking. Went with EvoA and have not looked back. (I'll be even happier with the new latches, ha..)

I have been waffling between the Alu-cab Contour and the GAIA topper but can't make up my mind. RSI Smartcap is kind of in the running hence the interest in this but I will pass.

Looks great! I was between AluCab and RSI - RSI was in stock so went that route. I do like how the AluCab's gullwing doors are full length.
