Picked up a bottle of McGuiars Liquid wax a couple weeks ago waiting for the city to relax car washing restrictions. Anyway, went to my corner parts store yesterday looking for car wash soap and the guy sold me a bottle of Kleen-flo Wash and Wax.

Said I should never use dish soap like I did on my other vehicles. Maybe that's why the finish went to shit.

Anyway, is there any harm in putting McGuiars wax on top of the Kleen-Flo once It's washed and rinsed?

Can't imagine there would be a problem with that. Not a bad one anyway. If it were me, I wouldn't use a soap that contained a wax component, though. You want the cleanest surface possible for best adhesion of the Meguires Ultimate Liquid. This synthetic stuff works differently than the traditional waxes of the past. Worst case scenario, you might just get an uneven application of the liquid wax. Or it just might not adhere well at all if the soap is leaving a significant amount of "wax" behind.

On the other hand, it wouldn't hurt to give it a shot. Let us know how it turns out.
