How often do you guys service your king shocks?

I just got all new seals and oil at 30k miles. I also had to get new lower spherical bearings on my front coilovers too.

I drive mostly highway but the shocks definitely get there share of abuse when i'm in the mountains.

Your coilovers don't have lower ball joints.

Every two years I do seals and oil, and any wear items. I check N2 pressure every 3 months.

primarily depends on use but I recommend 30k for most users. Some try to go over but you typically see the oil degrade and a drop in performance after that which IMO, doesn’t really support the idea of purchasing a performance oriented shock.

I’m about to pick this 2.5 front set up for $650. Owner reported less than 5k miles of use before switching to long travel, they seem clean to me but this will be my first set of coilovers so not an expert in this area.

An extremely good deal and be cautious of a scam. If you don’t buy them let me know and I will.

If these need to be rebuilt, would it still be a good deal? I saw they retail for about $1550, and I’m assuming it’s probably a couple hundred bucks to get them rebuilt.

yes & yes. A rebuild should be less than $300 from a reputable shop assuming no additional parts are needed but with only 5k miles on them they shouldn’t need it.
