    King shocks. Scorpio Mud tires
Bought the truck with them installed.

Shocks squeak all the time. To sum it up, driving on or off a driveway, she sings. Just annoying, any help?

    Lube, grease, reservoir oil, C4?

Most likely your hearing the Poly bushings squeaking in the upper control arms that you have. Its pretty common, and i myself have the same problem once I switched to aftermarket UCA's. Its something that doesn't really bother me but i'm sure there is a solution somewhere.

Highly doubt it is your shock making the noise buddy. You have uniball upper control arms with poly bushings which are rad however you must keep the uniball clean and lubed with tri flow. If the uniball has a Teflon liner and it is completely worn out that can cause some gnarly squeeling too. Your poly bushings could probably stand to be regressed as well both internally and externally.

I have had a shock squeak before, extend the shock out by jacking vehicle up. spray the shaft with wd 40 or a lubricant, drop truck and go for a drive. Did the noise change or go away? if so, you can determine it is the shock. I would recommend a rebuild, maybe the shock has no fluid in it and therefore running dry and causing noise. This is how I fixed the noise I encountered on one before. Same approach for the upper control arms, spray the uniball and test, might need lube or replacement, poly also. Good luck.

if it sounds like a ship creaking through the sea, definitely upper controls arms, some noise is borderline normal.

Probably lower heims in coilover where it bolts to lower arm. Easy to replace.

Mine is doing this only after 3,000 miles on it. Really upset. Made sure everything was tight. Sprayed water on the shaft and noise goes away. And to find out they only have a 90 day warranty. Gonna call them in the am and see if or what they will do.

But it was said after 50,000 it should need rebuilt. After 3k kinda ridiculous i would think. And race truck no. Not a daily drive. Gone off road over a year 4 times. So doesn't make since.

That sucks. Of course I didn't any complaints like those before I installed them.... No squeak on mine yet, since they are pretty much brand new, but unlike Dave's, my Taco is a DD ...

King told me it's the bearing at the bottom where it attaches to the lower control arm. They are sending me 2 new ones. For free.

Has anyone tried this? I’m having the same issue. Sounds like it’s coming from the lthe bearing at the bottom where it attaches to the lower control arm.

Yes. I had mine replaced already twice on ds. You can try to spray it down with some dry lube (like bike chain oil with Teflon , or even wd40 with Teflon ) while you wait for replacements.
    Good luck!

I second the lower bearings. Replaced mine once already and 9 months later I'm getting ready to do it again. Sounds like a creaking door when the bearings go. WD40 or lube on the bearing itself will help troubleshoot which one is the culprit. Found it very difficult to replace with common hand tools.... but the right sized socket and BFH got them out.
