    Hey everyone,

    Anyone running kings or comparable adjustable coilovers that would be willing to share their input? IMG_20200521_171518.jpg

    I have a nice real clean low mile 1st Gen that I'm willing to do things just right with *tastefully. I do go off-roading and "overlanding" but MN is pretty tame as far as aggressive stuff so it'll never be a rock crawler.

    I have a real beefy 4xinovations skid and I weight 250ish so she's a bit saggy in front. I want to get it level and adjust the driver lean out. Which pretty much makes me think to go with coilovers. I had 5100s on my 4runner that were pretty good, but was a pain to adjust.

    I have the extended kings, 700lb with a total chaos UCA. It's a bit much for my setup (steel bumper and winch) and my style of driving (more slow going). They are great in faster speeds. This was expected for kings but I do wish I stuck with OME for my style of wheeling. I am certain they will improve when I add more weight i.e. skids.

    I'd be doing you a disservice if I let you install those things on your truck.

    Really @sinks88 if you've had 5100's and liked them, you'll really like any of the 2.5 offerings by;

    King
    Fox
    Icon

    The first two are progressive, whereas the last is digressive; plenty of threads posted here and elsewhere about the differences.

    Another company that's known for custom shocks (also offering bolt-in) is ADS.

    I'm running Fox 2.5 and got them right away after buying my truck so I can't compare them to 5100's but maybe in the coming months I can finally install my King 2.5 and post my findings between the two.

    New updated info in 1st post. Seems like I'm really low.

    I feel just to get it back to level and even I would be well into OE specs? Agree? I'm just trying to determine if just coilovers without uppers would work for me.

    If youre wanting to drop some money Kings or ADS would fit the lift aspect and ride quality should go up exponentially

    Huge difference, the lowest setting will raise the front end 2.5" tho with stock setup,
    No more wash board issues

    The king color combo will look good on my truck.... I'm pretty much going to go with Kings or Fox I guess at this point. after doing all the measuring I definitely need something that's highly adjustable because of my fat ass and the driver side lean
