    Hey guys,

Has anyone here installed a kill switch on their 2nd gen Tacomas? From what I’ve read elsewhere it’s best to go off of the fuel pump relay but I’m not quite sure where that’s at?

Any tips on doing this would be helpful. Maybe there’s another wire I can cut into and install it from there?

More of a stealthy security feature. I want to just add a toggle switch in my console or something but I can’t seem to find the fuel pump power wire

There is a thread (link below) that most other kill switch inquiries refer to. That thread is about an ignition kill switch, but stiill a good read and replies. If you do a google search, "Tacoma kill switch or fuel pump kill switch" you'll come up quite a few hits, some on TW and some on another Taco forums. In some of the posts they describe a blue wire to the fuel pump located under the DS door sill plate that goes under the carpet, under the DS seat and out through a grommet which then to fuel pump. Some say not to tap into the FP power wire, but FP ground wire instead.

I've been wanting to do a kill switch myself and most likely will when the weather cools down a little more. Until then I've been pulling the FP relay.

If you do the FP kill switch mod please post your procedure with pictures. TIA!

I've done fuel pump switches on a couple of my past vehicles. They'd crank and go a short distance depending on how much fuel was in the system but they weren't going far. Pretty simple to just cut the wire and splice in a switch. Hide the switch wherever you like.
