Did you replace all 6 or just tweeter and front doors

 

If your gonna replace the door speakers, make sure they are high efficient for your OEM amp.

I did the plug & play (kicker) tweeter upgrade, and added a 8" underseat powered Sub. Sounds great! Pretty good bass, but not as good as bigger box woofers...

 

I bought mine at best buy $119 for the front pair- they didn't have the harness or the mounts, I had to go look at several locations to find those. It was an impulse buy, I should have just purchased on Crutchfield. I personally have only ever put pioneer speakers in my vehicles and am also regretting going with the kickers. I currently have the kicker tweeters and Cs Series speakers in the front, stock speakers in the rear. It is an upgrade, just not the sound quality I would have preferred; I listen to EDM-Trance-not to base heavy and I find the mid and high ranges to not be very clear. If I had ordered through Crutchfield I may have gone with JL audio speakers of some kind.

 

Bought the Kickers for the doors and the Taco Tunes tweeters. Paired it with a Pioneer 10" NEX system with 200w built in amp and wireless Android Auto. Game Changer

Whenever I've been in the need of car audio - Crutchfield was my starting and ending point in my search.

 

that website is janky. How do you purchase something on there? Seems like it’s only a bunch of information.

 

Also to note for install; I watched several videos on mounting the speakers to the plate with the factory screws given- found that no one used the metal tabs- they just screwed the speakers into the plate. I pushed these tabs together and forced them into the back of the plate, used the plastic of the plate to keep them in place and keep the screw in. I would expect with the vibrations these screws would become loose over time without these tabs; seemed like a good idea at the time.

 

I replaced all 6, and then added 2 Kicker 10" shallow mount subs behind the rear seats. Night and Day. So happy with it.

I got my Kenwood Excelon Amp and controller mounted under the driver seat and a bass control knob to the left of steering wheel.
