Hello guys, ran into a new one. Installed a 8” kicker self power sub under the seat of my first gen and I absolutely loved it; so u decided to buy a 10” for my 2014 double cab. Ran the wires; used the kicker KISL deal to get to this: am I missing something or does it only have 1 sub out? This is a Sony XAV 3250 or something like that aaaaand I’m not getting it. Did not have this issue on the single din Sony stereo I’m using in my other truck

    thanks in advance

It only has one output. But the hideaway only needs one input. Connect either blue or grey and you’ll be all set

hmmm could I get another run down of this? I don’t have an amp; the sub is connecting straight to the head unit.

4 wires come out of my sub that then turn into these 2 male RCA, are u telling me to get a Y to to turn these 2 males into 1 male?

Ok! So kinda wild since 4 wire come out the kicker to turn into these 2 but now I only need one? Lol

But ok that’s how it’s set up now; the grey one is plugged In there but still I’m getting no signal to the sub (yes it’s on) is there any setting on the head unit I should be looking into if that’s really all I need to plug in?

Subwoofer amps are monoblock, meaning 1 channel.

the left and right inputs are tied together inside the amp.

the only reason they give you 2 inputs is because if you’re using high level inputs, the left and the right channels occasional play different audio

but that Sony ties the channels together to create one sub output, so you’re all good with just one RCA connected. No need for splitters

Make sure sub is turned on in the radio. Some units come off by default

also make sure crossover is set right if it can be changed

make sure sub is getting power, lights are coming on, etc.

Normally don’t gives awful crossover settings. Set the low pass at 80 and phase as normal, unless something just sounds off. Then try reverse

Also, if there’s is a switch on the sub for hi or low, make sure it’s on low

Low pass at 80, phase normal, set sub to low pass; got it. Let me go see if it does anything, but wait what about the high pass setting?

Have a 3.5 to rca adapter? You can try hooking it up to your phone. That will tell you if it’s the radio or the sub
