I took delivery oct. 3 on my new to me 2020 TRD 4x4 off road. It has the touch pad in the windshield and it does not work. it’s still under warranty but I’d like to try getting it to work without spending a day at the dealership. Ive watched several YouTube videos and nothing show anything that might elude to it not working. It won’t wake up when touching or pushing the button on the back. It’s like it has no power going to it. It’s dead. The salesman has talked to a few in service and Ive taken their suggestions but no luck. One thing I’ll mention is when they took the truck in on trade it only had one key fob. They programmed a new fob so I wonder it they deactivated it. It is push button start. Thanks for any help

It’s a small keyless entry attached to the inside windshield on the driver side

My $0.02, they probably forgot the code and disconnected the fused power to it. The only programming is done on the windshield module, it's T'd in parallel to the unlock/lock wires.

I believe it's an option only from Southeast Toyota, that is why every other region doesn't have it.

It can be installed on other Toyotas though.

I don't know how many times I have walked from my office just to grab the handle and realize I don't have my keys. :annoyed:.

You can add that function to anycar with power locks.

That looks like such an eye sore. Why put it there? Looks like something ordered off Amazon. Would be quicker to unlock with the fob.

I know right! Just thinking that I might be helpful if you have someone down at the beach, and you can send them back up the truck to get refill. It might come in handy!
