    Hey everyone I am new here and happy to be part of the community, what a gold mine of information!

    I did a little searching around, and found quite a bunch of information on this topic but I am still having a few issues with the information I did find.

    I ordered the EC002 kit for my wifes 2000 Toyota Tacoma SR5.

    I have the wiring diagram and matched up everything except I am having a few problems:

    1. Finding the correct wires to hook up to..

    {EC002: Blue Wire [ Fuel Pump Wire (+) ] }
    {TOYOTA: Unknown or IGNITION 1 Currently}
    "

    The blue wire is connecting with fuel pump wire or oil pump wire, if you can't find those wires, please connect it with the ignition 1 wire or tachometer wire.

    "

    2.
    {EC002: Blue/Black -- Door trigger wire}
    States {TOYOTA: BLACK/WHITE (-) : Located @ TOP, REAR FUSE BOX 2-PIN Plug}
    ^^ May be blind on this one, but couldn't find a BLACK/WHITE (-) wire that seemed to fit the description.
    "

    The blue/black wire is connecting with negative door trigger wire (-)

    "

    3. Claims for that blue wire connecting to fuel pump or oil pump wire, just to connect to ignition 1 which is the BLACK/YELLOW (+). However I am not able to start with push button included in kit (Starter runs, the fuel doesn't appear to allow it to start unless the original ignition harness is plugged in.)
    Directions state to cut a key with 1mm sticking out and leave in ACC position since it isn't plugged in and steering will not lock.

    4. I can not get the horn to beep/lights to flash when hitting lock and unlock.

    I can explain in more detail of what I have going on plus pictures but I will include the three documents I have if anyone has a clue what I may be overlooking and happy to upload more if anyone has more experience in this stuff!

    Also I may note that I don't have anything from dash plugged in at time of testing except the Instrument Cluster, Airbag ETC.

    I know its close but I must have an issue with how I understood the Ignition harness wiring, as well as how to hook into the lights/horn properly.

    Thank you !

    Here is an update:
    At this point I have 2 problems:

    1. I have attached the Ignition wires accordingly to the corresponding kit wires:

    EASYGUARD 6pin ----- TACOMA IGNITION HARNESS
    YELLOW (STARTER) ----> BLACK (+) (STARTER)
    BROWN (IGNITION 2) ----> BLACK/RED (+) (IGNITION 2)
    RED x2 (CONSTANT) ----> WHITE (+12V CONSTANT)
    ORANGE (ACC) ----> BLUE/RED (ACC/HEATER BLOWER 1)
    WHITE (IGNITION 1) ---> BLACK/YELLOW (IGNITION 1)

    2. I have attached the loom of 20 wires to these:

    EASY GUARD 20 pin ----- TOYOTA WIRES
    BROWN (SIGNAL LIGHTS) ---- ????? (Haven't hooked these up yet) Calls for Green (+) at bottom of fuse box
    (CENTRAL DOOR LOCKING)
    YELLOW/BLACK ----- GROUND
    YELLOW ----- GROUND
    WHITE/BLACK ----- Red/Yellow ** TYPE B
    WHITE ----- Red/White ** TYPE B
    ORANGE/BLACK ----- NOT IN USE
    ORANGE ----- NOT IN USE
    PINK (HORN) ----- Green/Red (-) up by 2 pin plug next to clock spring (Works)
    ORANGE (BRAKE PEDAL SWITCH) ----- Green/White (+) @Brake Switch Above Brake Pedal (Hard to get to)
    BLUE (FUEL WIRE, IG1 OR TACH) ---- Have attached to tach currently (BLACK), Have had attached to IG1 as well.
    BLUE/BLACK (DOOR TRIGGER WIRE)-- Have attached to the Door Trigger switch wire @ Driver Door (Red/BLACK i think on mine)
    BLACK (GROUND) ----- GROUNDED with YELLOW from Central DOOR LOCKING

    GREEN, GREEN/BLACK, PURPLE for TRUNK ---- NOT CONNECTED

    The first problem: So with all these connected I can not get the push button to allow fuel to start, It will crank... but unless ignition is plugged in AND key is used to start the vehicle, it will not start (only sit there and crank). I have even tried by enabling the CLUTCH START CANCEL button, and this will not allow me to start either.

    I am unsure of what ignition wire controls/allows fuel pump/spark etc. but do think that my problem exists at allowing fuel/spark for startup.

    UNLESS there is some type of immobilizer that these 2000 Tacomas would have that wouldn't allow me to start. I didn't see anything in the dash that would suggest this so I do believe it is wiring related.

    The second problem: The doors somewhat phantom unlock and lock while driving, and at times I even get the blinker noise when blinkers are not being utilized.

    If anyone has any input or maybe I am overlooking something simple, any help would be much appreciated.

    my 2¢? there's gotta be wires touching or ground/short. if you are getting random lock/unlock, and piezo buzzer then a "function" is being used/activated causing the outcome.

    not being electrical that's all my pittance I can offer :|

    I agree with your comment here is the likely scenarios I see, maybe someone else can chime in on the likelyness of the scenarios below.

    1. IF my diagram I have of central locking is inappropriate for the type of system.

    TYPE B: NEGATIVE TRIGGER DIAGRAM
    EASY GUARD DIAGRAM:

    [IMG]

    TACOMA WIRES:
    POWER LOCK: RED/WHITE (TYPE B) In drivers kick panel
    POWER UNLOCK: RED/YELLOW (TYPE B) In drivers kick panel

    2. A wire that is potentially related but most likely unrelated to central locking is like you said grounded that shouldn't be.

    3. The PKE (Passive Keyless Entry) Antennas are somehow getting interference (Mounted to interior windshield: (center) (1), mounted to rear Extra Cab Window (2), and the regular keyless entry antenna mounted to windshield (3) (left side))

    4. Ill have to use my multi-meter the turn signal/flashers on and verify that wire to make sure that it is the correct one. I thought I did this however with how many times ive tested and unplugged wires this could be a likely scenario. (Green(+)) If anyone knows which specific wire to tie into for parking lights/flashers near fuse box above drivers kick if they had a picture of its location that would help. Ill test these wires once again.

    Thank you for the response. Any help is much appreciated!
